Apparently she lives in a 6 bed house. If she could afford to buy it presumably she would. I also assume that he pays for the children, that does not mean that he has to pay for her too. She doesn't need a 6 bed, she could live quite well in a 4 bed which is what lots of people do. I don't see the issue.

Why can't she go out and work? She's a trained, experienced actress.

Helen and Scott split in 2022 so coming up for 4 years now. As they were not married she didn't share the ownership of the house. He has offered to buy her a 4 bed house in her name but she wants to keep the 6 bed.

Their problem is that they have come to the end of their original careers and must consider what to do next. As a professional footballer in mid-30s, Scott has reached the end of the line and will never earn ago the type of money 10-15 years ago in the Premier League. Helen was mostly known as a child/teen actress from Corrie and then she did a few celebrity reality shows. I think she needs to face reality - a paid-off 4 bed is not to be sneezed at.

Yeah, moved him in super fast because "she feels safer with a man about". Eldest didn't cope cos she missed her Dad so at least it seems she had the sense to move him out again. Hopefully she'll think twice before moving the next one in

I loved her in Corrie, she was brilliant as Rosie Webster. I was quite sad when she left. I was dismayed when she chose the WAG lifestyle/Only Fans thing as her next step. She was a good actress but I suppose she went where the money was. Short term thinking but not many people think long term at the age she was then.

Both of them had/ have age reliant careers. No-one is going to want to see her in her pants when she's 50. Similarly he won't be 'influencing' anyone at a similar age. Younger people will be doing what they're doing now. So the choices they made put a time limit on their agency.

I will repeat- the biggest mistake she made was not getting married. She should bite his hand off for that house.

I understand she and the children have lived in their home for a couple of years after they separated and now he thinks the house should be sold and a smaller house purchased . That seems reasonable as he can’t afford to maintain 2 houses . The children now stay with both parents that’s why she doesn’t have them full time.its the same situation for most separated people.She lives in a very affluent area and would still be able to buy a lovely home with half of those assets , he’s paying maintenance and yes she will need to earn herself too , they are her kids too .

He's a well known footballer with a substantial social media following, and his expertise is in a sector where publicity plays a huge part. It's not credible that he's got a secret, in person job in Bristol which is the only thing he can get. The Instagram follower numbers alone would allow him to pick up a few brand deals and earn money that way if he wanted.

Maybe he’s earning in Bristol and can’t get anything else just now, we don’t know. To be honest with her as an ex I might want to be further away but I think he should be nearer so he can be with them more.

But her circumstances have changed, so now she has to find work outside the home. It's the same for anyone in her position.

Not sure how 'lack of options' would be preventing a move closer to the children. He's no longer tied to the south west for work. There are lots of football clubs in the north west if he wished to continue playing or look for a coaching role as many ex pros do. If he doesn't want employment and prefers to live off the proceeds of his playing career plus any endorsements he might get on the back of his social media following, it could be done more cheaply in the Bolton area than Bristol.
