People who just grunt at me instead of giving me a straight answer to a simple question. It is not hard to say yes please or no thank you if i ask you if you want a drink.

Oh, and I have to add - my haunted travelling rug.

You live in the spare bedroom, rug. NOBODY goes in there. In fact the door is always closed otherwise the dog gets on the bed. So, given that half of you is shoved under the bed legs, and the top end is under the bedside cabinet - HOW THE HELL DO YOU MANAGE TO CREEP INTO HUGE WRINKLES? HOW? And then I can't get into the room because you've managed to bunch yourself up in the doorway and I have to force my way INTO A ROOM IN MY OWN HOUSE.

It's haunted, that has to be the answer.

This boils my piss so much.

Not only are they not washing the dishes, they're actually adding an extra job (drain mucky tepid water out of the sink and rewash). It's worse than doing nothing and completely inefficient. I will fight to the death about this.

I'm with you. Early on in our marriage my DH used to do this. I will not put my hand in manky water, so it means getting gloves on etc etc. Which takes time. So after the first time i told him not to, and that i would just ignore the sink if he did.

And after about 3 times of me leaving it (for 2 days the last time) he got the message and stopped.

tbh everything annoys me atm so I'm staying quiet.

Everyothernamewasalreadyinuse · 21/01/2026 13:26

'Tik Tock influencers' that do that strange nail tapping things on random objects they are showing you.

That one Sock that slips down the back of your foot, that even when you throw it away seems to magically turn back up.

Public bathrooms that have non touch water faucets that when you wave your hand under turns the water on at the same pressure as a fire hose so that your jumper sleeve gets wet.

My teenage Son who puts empty snack wrappers back in the cupboard.

Mumto4loveliesxx · 21/01/2026 13:14

My pet hate is people picking their ears in public, seemingly oblivious to how disgusting others might find it.
I have to give someone a lift who does this in my car and then examines the scabs he has pulled out of his ears. I try staring at him to make him stop, but he just carries on. It’s so grim.

ThatCraftySquid · 21/01/2026 13:10

Vinted buyers making ridiculous offers. If we wanted to give things away for free, we would. If we bother trying to sell them, we expect a reasonable price. Bargain a bit if you like, but some low offers are just silly.

Best ignore them so they don't come back with more ridiculous offers

People breathing heavily.

People who just suddenly stop at the bottom/top of an escalator when they get off. JUST MOVE.

People walking side by side who refuse to walk single file if you need to pass so you end up walking into the road/a bush/a wall.

(At work) when a colleague sends me a Teams message with just “Hi 😁”. JUST TELL ME WHAT YOU NEED.

😂 Yes to all these!

Hmmmmwineandchocs · 21/01/2026 13:06

The few people who microwave fish meals in the office 🤢 it stinks.

No! It's MISS-ch-vuhss.

Are you very sure? I'm going to change how I pronounce this and I don't want to later find I've been had. In fact, I shall go and independently verify then will amend my ways. I thank you for your service.

Okay, validated. This is incredibly unreasonable of me but adult women wearing white socks over leggings. Bonus irritation points if they're also wearing a puffer jacket.

It looks so try-hard and lame.

SardinesOnButteredToast · 21/01/2026 12:54

Men who love to chip in with their viewpoint when women are discussing their experiences.

Actually, men, full stop.

SardinesOnButteredToast · 21/01/2026 12:53

People who queue skip 'just to ask a quick question' when the question is not quick. At all. And followed up by multiple follow ups.

People in training sessions who say 'It's not so much a question, more of a comment', following it up with the ten chapters of the rambling content of their brain. Then look really pleased with themselves.

People who present by reading off a PowerPoint.

Cans without easy open ring pulls.

My cat.

Leggings after you've been swimming. Rubbery bastards.

SardinesOnButteredToast · 21/01/2026 12:50

People who misuse Reply All on group emails.
People who use any subject specific WhatsApp group to chunter on like it's their own personal tannoy about any minor tangential topic of their interest.
Young people with the faux jaded ennui of an eighty year old.

ThatCraftySquid · 21/01/2026 12:37

Light in hotel rooms - tv lights, safety light, alarm lights.. that you cannot turn off.

I know we are supposed to travel with a roll of black tape to put on them, but it's annoying and sometimes we forget to take the damn tape

Hadalifeonce · 21/01/2026 12:24

Curtains not be pulled back all the way. (Looking at you DH and FiL)

MargoChanningsglass · 21/01/2026 12:22

Who pissed on your cornflakes..ugh

I turned around and said...

People on busy streets looking at phones rather than where they are going

Facebook posts commemorating their grannies birthday- she would have been 147...

Limth · 21/01/2026 12:13

Authors who use the word "padded" to mean "walked".

So fucking twee and cutesy. Cunts.

NimbleHiker · 21/01/2026 12:03

People who don't flush the toilet. People who give me a running commentary on the task they are doing.

Charging for cardboard carrier bags. It’s a plastic tax. Dicks.

Everyone is not being unreasonable to get annoyed about these small things.

Cyclists who ride 2 abreast so you can’t get past grinds my gears !

I have misophonia, so basically any bodily noise coming from someone nearby drives me a little bit insane, whether it’s chewing (especially if it’s with their mouth open. Chewing gum should be banned!!!), slurping, sniffing, teeth sucking, whistling, breathing…. 🫣 I’m so bad that I even have to leave the room when my cat is eating because he inhales his food so fast that he makes this horrible slurping sound. shivers

Of course I’m perfect and never make a sound. 😂

Oh, and people who don’t clean up after their dogs. The amount of dog poo all over our streets is just ridiculous. And those that do pick it up, if the bin is full, instead of just leaving the bag on top of the bin or on the ground next it, why can’t they carry it to the next bin or even take it home? I manage to do that and I’ve got my dog’s lead in one hand and my walking stick in another.

At baggage reclaim. People who rush to stand directly inches away from the belt so nobody can get near to see their bag or have space to lug it off. JUST STAND BACK.

I am not sorry I whacked you on the legs when I pulled my bag off. FFS

Belt Wankers.

You should definitely listen to the LuAnna podcast this week (iykyk)

ThisIsAGlobalPlayerOriginalPodcast · 21/01/2026 00:52

Children at the gym. My local one allows them in from 10. They’re supposed to be supervised but no one cares.

Genuinely don’t mind if they’re actually working out properly. Unsupervised groups of 11 year olds dangling off the weight machines and giggling at people can feck right off though.
