To be a bit stunned by Lily Allen’s new album

Oooofff. I mean it might as well be called Fuck You David Harbour, You Cheating Bastard. Safe to say she’s set a new bar for diaristic songwriting. I feel so sad for her, I know she’s not everyone’s favourite person but it’s always been clear that all she wanted was to love and be loved and she seemed so happy with him- he popped up on her podcast with Miquita Oliver a few times and seemed so genuine in the way he spoke about her… for it to all collapse in such spectacularly public and hideous fashion must have been awful to endure, so I don’t blame her for working through it by going back to what she does best but still… blimey. I feel like I’ve been spying in their bedroom or something after listening to it!

Yes. It is absolutely the fault of the customers of the sex workers that sex workers exist.... because they wouldn't be sex workers if they didn't have any johns

From a purely artistic standpoint it’s not her best work, although I did feel that the autotune was being used as a production choice in the same vein as Charli XCX, rather than a very poorly disguised attempted at correcting her pitch. It’s definitely more an exercise in catharsis set to melody than her just flexing her musical muscles for the sake of creativity.

I posted it because your reading comprehension was very poor. There was nothing in my short, simple message that could logically lead to "it's Lily Allen's fault that prostitution exists." If you don't want to feel stupid then perhaps read more carefully and think about your response before you post.

It is far more safe to use contraception than undergo multiple operations, easier too. Anesthesia risks alone are a real thing and not something to put yourself through lightly, esp when so easily avoidable.

I’ve had an abortion- there was no surgery and no anaesthesia involved. And one could argue that a straightforward early termination of a pregnancy takes less of a toll on your body and your mental health than pumping it full of synthetic hormones for a long period of time or sticking various contraptions up your vagina. And we all know condoms aren’t foolproof.

Hmmm, she’s also done her fair share of treating people horribly. It was openly known that she cheated on her former husband with sex workers. I can’t remember her ex husbands name but the one she had children with.

Don't forget the "married" Liam Gallacher she had.

I doubt DH will care - it's the Stranger Things final season plus he's in those Marvel things so he's a big star. I think Lilly just pretended to be a lady of the manor to nab him and then they were both screwed up. She's a known druggie and he seems to be as well.

I listened to it this morning and thought it was shit with an overuse of autotune.

It’s embarrassing that someone would air all their dirty laundry like this.

I’ve listened to their podcast since day one, and loved it!… I’ve enjoyed her chats and have felt sorry for her when the media take it out of context and only pick on her for some reason.

But this album is pathetic and childish.

Oh please. Most of the detail of her relationship breakdown is only public because SHE PUT IT OUT THERE! In interviews and podcasts etc.

I am stunned that you are stunned by anything the attention seeking queen that is Lily Allen does.

Because its not bloody advised as a method of contraception!

Contraception is supposed to actively stop you getting pregnant not have operations, procedures or medicine AFTER you are pregnant, thats a completely different area of healthcare.

No medical practitioner would advise to a woman, yes go ahead we recommended using abortion as your contraception🙄

Absolutely. Because the alternative is women being forced to have unwanted babies. We don’t know the circumstances around those pregnancies, so I’m not going to judge her for having multiple abortions or for being unashamed of them.

She’s very chaotic. Both her and her brother have ADHD. It explains a lot of her impulsivity. I find her really quite sad. She’s desperate for love and validation. Growing up with Keith as her dad must have been a nightmare.

LA has always been open about her journey and struggles. We only know about her treatment of her ex husband because she told us. It’s not like she’s an arsehole who goes around wrecking havoc and never dealing with it.

I hear damaged upbringing but when do we become responsible for our own actions?

If hey had an open relationship and were both 'allowed' to pay for sex as long as it was discreet no good would ever come of it. I like her but she is a bit odd
