To order an Indian takeaway while babysitting?

I’m babysitting for my SIL and brother next weekend. I love doing it and love seeing their kids, but it always leaves me in a bit of a pickle in terms of getting dinner. I try not to order out because I’m losing weight, but this weekend I just want to treat myself.

I love Indian food but live at home and my dad cannot stand the smell of it. My mum thinks if I order it I’m being very rude and it’ll annoy them, but they always offer to pay for one so I don’t know if it’s a bit unreasonable?! How would you feel if your babysitter ordered Indian?

Even if I was paying a baby sitter it wouldn’t bother me at all knock yourself out but just know my DD loves and Indian so you’d be sharing lol xx

Your mum is being really fucking weird. Can’t imagine caring about this! Throw the wrappers in the outside bin when you’re done, problem solved, no smell. Or offer the get extra for them when they get home 😁

I can't even imagine this being an issue. Do they pay you for babyitting/ When friends/family babysay for us, or vice versa, it was pretty standard to either pay for a takeaway or leave a ready meal. Only ou can decide if its reasonable for them to pay or you to pay, but it is 100% reasonable to be able to order one.

No they don’t pay but I’d not take money for it anyway!! I love seeing their kids and then I just do the same thing as I’d do at home, I sit and watch telly under a blanket 🤣

It’s your brother… of course it’s ok!

I wouldn’t do it at a paid gig but this is totally OK

why on earth not? genuine question? I wouldn' tblink if my paid babysitter ordered herself a takeaway? I'm genuinely confused anyone would have an issue.

I’d be well pleased, especially if they over ordered so I could heat up leftovers after they left! I’d even pay for it x
