Tommy Robinson's views on illegal immigration are inextricably linked to his racism. Hitler's antisemitism and far right views had fuck all to do with his vegetarianism. If you cannot see the difference, then I give up.

I embarrassed to say i hadn’t been aware of the march, so blissfully ignorant headed in to London to the theatre.

As we approached Waterloo, I had a look around the carriage and thought - cripes, what’s going on…. Lots of fat men drinking tinnies.

And then we arrived and when I exited the station OMFG…. Either fat or malnourished men swigging beer and many smoking… staggering along in their tens of thousands.

Do I really have to repeat myself again? You can agree with certain things a person does whilst disagreeing with other things they do. I've said it as simplistically as I possibly can. If you are still struggling with this concept I can't really spell it out any clearer.

The question is: How are people who attend Tommy Robinson marches being judged? They are being judged as automatic racists, as is demonstrated by comments on here, all manner of social media platforms and the mainstream media. My point was and has been all along, people can make these assumptions but they do not know the reasons why each person is attending so cannot with absolute conviction know the accusations they are making are true.

I made the point about Hitler and vegetarianism to demonstrate how there may be people on these marches who do not agree with all of what TR has to say but do agree with his stance on illegal immigration. It's really that simple.

Personally, I find it extremely unlikely that this was purely about the school "being afraid to step on certain toes".

I strongly suspect that there was a back story relating to this student and/or her family which led the school to feel that her choices were inappropriate. This is supported, imo, by the family's decision to plaster it all over the tabloid media and put the child on a platform next to Tommy Robinson.

The school should have foreseen the potential for their decision to be put into the public domain, and they should have realised that they would not be in a position to release any personal information about the student or her family to justify their actions. If they had thought this through properly before reacting, they could have handled it differently.

If the neighbour has been harbouring racist views and support for TR, it is surprising he hasn’t erected the flag way before now

I believe it was a simple straightforward case of school being afraid to step on certain toes, which is partly what the rally was about.

I've asked numerous posters on numerous threads. None were flying the flag, but one did say I'd inspired them to do so.😊

I think the school mishandled the situation, and they shouldn't have stopped her from wearing the dress or speaking about "British culture".

Of course, we don't know exactly why the school intervened in the way that they did with this child, and in light of subsequent events, I wouldn't mind betting that there is a lot more context to this story that the school inevitably cannot share. Notwithstanding that, the school's response was misguided.

In an ideal world (perhaps not possible for practical reasons such as safety) you should knock on his door and have a conversation and see if you can find common ground.

IMHO we need to Unite the UK, and we have infinitely more chance of uniting the country around controlled and wanted immigration, and "traditional british values and christianity" than we are uniting it around woke ideology, communism, unlimited immigration and islamism.

We all need to speak to each other, reach out, talk, listen, try to fidn common ground.

I do not support Reform by the way (and I don't believe Robinson does either). I do not support Robinson either, but I do support a fair bit of what he says and does.

To be honest anyone who uses the term 'flag shagger' just immediately looses my ability to take them seriously. Are the people who parade rainbow flags, EU flags and Palestine flags all 'flag shaggers' too?

Personally, I think the entire 'raise the colours' achieves nothing politically. Nor do the Palestine protests. It's all a bit pointless.
