The reality is that many men are exactly as the OP describes. I don't know if it's "most" but it's enough for us to note and refuse to pretend that we don't see the patterns.

At first I took offence because my partner of 5 years is absolutely lovely, and so respectful. But then I remembered that pretty much any man I was involved with prior to him was as you describe. I got incredibly lucky with the one I have.

Yeah, a small percentage do bad stuff. This small percentage is greater than the small percentage of women that do bad stuff. But if you crash your car will it be a man or a woman most likely to cut you out? How about if a nutter tries to kick your door down at 3am? Will it likely be a load of women turn up? Rescue you from a burning building? What about if a terrorist attack/hostage situation occurs?

In aggregate, men save more women's lives than they take. People like you just take the good stuff for granted because you know the men will sort it.

Right. I keep hearing this bizarre, illogical comparison on mumsnet. Some women really are other women's worst enemy.

Comparing men to other demographics simply does not work because men ALREADY incorporate ALL other demographics as do women. Women and men are the only two demographics which can never and do never incorporate one another's demograpic.

Men/women stand completely alone as a demographic as two halves of the human race, each containing all other demographic traits - race, age, etc - within their groups. They are NOT isolated categories like race or class, rendering the comparison of the group "men" with the group "race" absolutely meaningless.

And furthermore men as a sex class have been irrefutably proven throughout our entire recorded history and in all cultures and geographies to be dangerous to women as a sex class.

No other demographic - religion, race, age, class, ethnicity, or culture - shows a comparable, consistent pattern of danger towards women as a group.

I am sick of this illogical nonsense by women who throw other under the bus to gain male cookies.

And calling anyone losers … I just feel like everyone now asssumes all men are what most men aren’t but in the same way men think women are naggy, money grabbing etc etc. The world seems to have forgotten we all have flaws and act like idiots sometimes.
