Shes not allowed to be on Princess' show apparently

Sorry, been out and may have missed this but can someone please fill me in on why we should have empathy for someone who has abused her kids and multiple animals and been so spiteful and vindictive to numerous exes (revenge porn/vexatious allegations to police etc)?

@Notfeelinguptoit I have also experienced trauma, like many people. I’m not arrogant enough to judge others empathy though, e.g. what is ‘true’ empathy!

If reading this thread about this woman’s terrible behaviour upsets you so much, you can simply scroll on.

Also I’m fascinated to understand how someone can ‘understand’ child neglect and animal cruelty.

Edited

I’m not sure why you think pointing out the difference between judgment and empathy is ‘arrogant,’ or why you feel entitled to tell me to scroll on. My comment was about approaching people fairly, not about claiming to define ‘true empathy.’ If that upsets you, that’s on you, not me.

They absolutely are stating that.

Empathy does not mean making excuses and allowances for repeated shitty behaviour.

It’s frankly offensive to those who have experienced trauma and who manage to not abuse animals and neglect their kids.

Having experienced trauma myself, I try to approach others with empathy rather than judgment.
Understanding someone’s struggles rather than tearing them down is what real empathy looks like.

No one’s stating that, they’re giving her empathy towards some of the things she’s been through in her life and her mental health struggles.

She looks so beautiful, but
the voice…jeez!!! My ears are bleeding. They should have got her to mime like Milli Vanilli.

Apologies I didn’t realise it was 3 years I thought it was sooner than that, my mistake.

Has that actually been proven she got pregnant to somebody else or is it just rumoured?
In the interview I watched she said Pete kept accusing her of sleeping with somebody else and she never did.

Perhaps you could have that post removed. Some people go read it will believe it is true, which is unfair.

Someone upthread said she accused him of having an affair with Carby Claire (who is not so carby since her own glam up).
They won. Katie paid up.

StrictlySequinsandStiIettos · 17/08/2025 18:27

Andrew Gould and his wife did support Katie, did a tongue-in-cheek photoshoot etc but split up later. He is married to someone else now.
Katie did claim there was nothing between them. She also claimed she had miscarried before doing the marathon.
I guess we'll never know what really went down. In that regard, it reminds me of Nicole Kidman who miscarried before her marriage to Tom broke down. There were rumours there too.
None of our business frankly but if both women were pregnant by their husbands at the time then it is libellous to suggest otherwise and it does make the men divorcing them look callous.

And then in her statement on friday admitted being unfaithful.

I am sure there was court proceedings regarding this as well that she also lost and had a confidential agreement for the costs and compensation.

Yes but she didn’t say she was unfaithful to Peter.

Also wasn’t the court case to do with her making allegations against Peter?
I don’t think there’s any public knowledge or confirmation of her becoming pregnant by another man except rumours.

He did try to see Harvey, but she made it impossible because he wouldn’t be with her. He gave up and walked away - which is shit considering he had enough funds to have forced access to through court if he really wanted to step up.

He has paid a decent chunk of maintenance for Harvey over the years though and made sure it went to her mum as she clearly couldn’t be trusted to not spunk it on holidays and surgery for herself. I hope Amy actually made sure it was spent on Harvey.

I don’t really have a negative opinion about Dwight if he did choose to not be involved. If she’d decided to abort, he wouldn’t have had a say and I don’t think men should be forced to be a parent just on the say so of a woman who they’ve shagged a few times. It certainly doesn’t justify them using a kid to exert control and force the man into a relationship. It’s not an equal decision so I find it hard to judge men too harshly in those situations. He contributed financially, which I think is an acceptable amount of responsibility.

No contraception is 100%. If DY didn’t want the role or responsibility then he should have remained celibate. You always risk becoming a mother or father when you have sex, even protected sex, and money doesn’t excuse being an uninvolved father especially when you have the means he does to engage solicitors and fight for access. A financial contribution cannot replace an active involved parent IMO.

KP is equally horrific. I feel most sorry for Harvey who lost the parental lottery massively.

OneSharpFinch · 17/08/2025 18:00

She was accused of sleeping with Andrew Gould the horse trainer, only him and his wife did an interview saying that his wife was always there when Katie was around for her lessons, his wife seemed to like Katie and mentioned that Pete had never been to their place and didn't seem to support her riding, so who knows.

3 years later isnt exactly "quickly" though is it? Or is there an acceptable amount of time to leave it before dating someone else? 3 years seems fine to me.

Also the reason he cut her off is she got pregnant by someone else (they hadnt had sex in ages) and then claimed it was Peters and when he said it was impossible she went and had an abortion and claimed it was a miscarriage. All contact was through his solicitors, so he was in indirect contact with her about the children, she just hated it as she didnt have the control she wanted over the situation. She is the narc in all this.

Most of her exes have gone on to have stable, loving relationships, the only one that hasn't is her.

Your right and I’m not disputing the fact he’s a good dad, credit where credit is due and the kids have turned out great.

But I also understand what it’s like to have mental health problems, my ex was emotionally and psychologically abusive and it took me years to recover.

Katie said in an interview from the day Pete left he never spoke to her again, completely cut her off, even regarding the children.
That is narcissistic behaviour and my ex did exactly the same thing to me.
Pete quickly got with Emily - his new supply and portrayed himself as the great guy who was victim to her.
He’s played a massive part in her spiral downwards.

I really don’t understand how people can read this thread and keep banging on about KP being a ‘great mother’.

Thechickenisburning · 17/08/2025 17:25

Wonder what she really actually did that was that bad

Plastictreees · 17/08/2025 17:25

Also the Saint / Sinner narrative was cringe and blatantly not written by her. Whoever wrote it failed at being deep or insightful; human beings don’t exist in binaries, we all have a multitude of qualities, good and bad. It was just another attempt of deflection and KP taking no personal responsibility. Professional victim.

He managed to provide for, raise and support his kids. Whatever you think of him he’s done a pretty decent job of parenting - also having to undo some of the awful stuff his kids saw at their mothers.

StrictlySequinsandStiIettos · 17/08/2025 17:14

I think he was hurt at the time of their split.
I think the insinuations/innuendo "she knows what she did" were unhelpful.
If the rumours upthread were true, he had good reason to divorce her.
The sinner/saint story abdicates her responsibility for her own actions and decision making. She is in denial there.
She will have missed out/missed a lot but through her own choices.
And - what would have been a much classier move - would have been to thank Emily in that statement. Even if Pete is no saint, I do think Emily deserves that title!

HotDogKetchup · 17/08/2025 17:04

Notfeelinguptoit · 17/08/2025 16:59

Good on her! 👏👏

That was a great statement and I absolutely agree with the saint/sinner thing!

Pete try’s to be the ‘saint’ but to get there Katie had to be the sinner!

I stand by I like Katie, she’s had an absolutely rough ride, became self destructive and spiralled.

Pete played the victim and did a blinder turning the world against her, while he was shacked up with Emily his 20 year younger fresh new girlfriend.

You can tell by looking at him all is not it seems.

He managed to provide for, raise and support his kids. Whatever you think of him he’s done a pretty decent job of parenting - also having to undo some of the awful stuff his kids saw at their mothers.

HotDogKetchup · 17/08/2025 17:03

“ I don’t agree with everything she’s done over the years but none of us are perfect“

I don’t profess to be perfect but I think there’s a whole area of grey between perfection and imperfection and I sit somewhere in the middle. I am certainly NOT a perfect parent but have never done anything to risk my children being removed from their care and am mostly motivated by their wellbeing rather than wrapped up in my own head.
