To want to know why Imogen Poots broke up with James Norton

Obviously absolutely none of my business, but I don’t think anyone in my real life knows who these people are, so I’m sharing it here in case anyone shares my mini obsession.

Imogen Poots is a gorgeous 35 year old British actress who was engaged to James Norton (I’m guessing I don’t need to explain here who he is), they broke up in the last year or so and he’s indicated in interviews that it wasn’t his choice.

She’s suggested in past interviews that she wants children (which JN has also said he does). Definitely none of my business - but honestly if you were a 35 year old woman who wants kids and you were engaged to JAMES NORTON, would you break up with him?

I know AIBU.

For the same reason any 35 year old breaks up with their partner. They’ve fallen out of love.

He looked pretty much exactly like he does every other day when he played Tommy Lee Royce. If you fancied him more bc he played a ‘bad boy’ the bad boy he played was a woman-hating rapist who tried to murder his own child. And ran over and beat up female police officers. (Among other things.)

How does that make him sexier to you?

I used to see him circa 2016 in Peckham Rye/East Dulwich where I assumed he lived when I was on mat leave. I was clearly looking my best 😪 so knew it was only a matter of time before he took me (and my then baby) away from it all. Unfortunately it never happened. And NOW look where he is! Also I remember seeing Jamie Dornan on Celebrity Gogglebox once and he didn't watch strictly and had no idea who Dave Arch and his orchestra is. Whoever was with him had to explain it all.

We certainly wouldn't be comparable on Saturday nights between September and Christmas.

Now this...

I feel like he'd be a great summer fling then - good to travel with!

Then you'd have to dump him to fully enjoy cozy season - you'd just get sick of him trying to take you places every five mins

It’s so weird that ppl on mumsnet of all places are admitting to finding the police-murdering, woman-beating, child-murdering-wannabee rapist character of his so hot and sexually attractive. Not James Norton but James Norton as Tommy-Lee Royce. And there will be many stalwart “LTB!!!!’s” among them for men who don’t pay for meals on first dates, who look at porn, visit strip clubs, shout when they’re frustrated etc…

I am currently rewatching The Fall , I had forgotten how twisty the plot is, brilliant stuff. Honestly, Jamie Dorian is phwar. Though of course I am only watching it to admire the twisty plot and to wonder how she got so many outfits into that tiny suitcase.
