I'm 46 and going raving next year, it finishes at 11pm though so right up my street 😂

I always try and dance once or twice a year - outdoor daytime events are my favourite.

Hell yes. I'm going to one between Xmas and NY with my husband and all my old 90s mates. We're all in our 40s and 50s. Can't bloody wait!

@BooseysMom We live 2 hrs away so stay overnight. And I didn't think I could handle raving at my age but I appreciate and enjoy it more than at 18... Think its because back in the old days I didn't have to do much adulting like running a household etc so didnt really appreciate how it was to go out and let loose! I too have noone to go with - so I take my 24 yr old who grew up hearing the music and now fangirls over all the DJs 🤣

Thanks for the heads up. I saw they are doing one final rave. I haven't been to one since 2000! I feel too old to handle it these days though! Plus I've got nobody to go with and live 2 hours away. .love your pics BTW ❤️

My next rave is New Year’s Eve, but I’m itching to go before then! DP thinks we should save ourselves for NYE (which is actually a 2-day affair into NYD!).

Found out 2 of my favourite DJs are doing a ‘pop up’ event in a city that we’re going on a city break to in January. Amazing coincidence and I literally can’t wait. One of the DJs I haven’t seen since 2019! The other I’ve seen twice this year but never disappoints. Something to liven up January 🤩

I went again this year on 1st Nov with VIP tickets, met all my fav DJs including NBM and Hype.
Plus we've seen them both DJ at RaverTots this year 🤣
They doing 1 more Sanctuary Forever event next year on Nov 7th

Oh and I forgot to mention the other legends that I loved on the line-up.. Micky Finn, Kenny Ken, Brockie .. i wish I could go now!!

Only just seen this otherwise I would have tried to go. I went to the Sanctuary raves at Milton Keynes and still have my old tape packs! I love Nicky Blackmarket and Hype. I remember seeing Nicky B in my home town and was struck at how short he was but my god he was ace! Then I saw Hype in Hereford. They were messy times!

Are raves for those who went to raves decades ago? A sort of rave revival? Not sure 18 year olds are that bothered!

Ah I'm so late to this thread, but yes yes YES, do it! I'm 46 now, I had an amazing time in the 90s and 00s and still absolutely live for the tunes. Clubbing is such a mixed crowd, everyone there for the music, you'll be fine. Sidenote - I remember when I used to go out in the 90s there was always that one 'old' guy on the dancefloor.. makes me laugh to think these guys were probably about 40 and I'm now 'that' person 🤣 although they were an anomaly then, now most people at any decent night are int heir 40s because we did it all first time round 🙌🏼

My partner and I did the big clubs in Ibiza in 2019. He was 56 1 was 51. We didn’t look or feel out of place. Go for it. Music has no boundaries. It’s just all people whatever age, size,colour enjoying the beat.

I went to a rave in the summer and I am 50, and disabled. Loads of oldies there and the young did not mind a jot. I was complimented on my trainers endlessly and even given a cheese and pickle sandwich at 2am when I was flagging (by a well prepared young woman with a back pack).
It was the best night in years and I am back for more on NYE.
Just do what you want, live your life, it's short, you're here, now, go and take it.

DH & I went to one in the middle of the night at a festival a couple of years ago. We are mid 40’s. Best fun we’d had in years. Still talk about it. We would be into our music and particularly love 90’s dance music. Can’t wait to go to another one. Enjoy!
