To think that a lot of genuinely beautiful people ruin themselves with plastic surgery etc?

I thought Tori had had a fair bit done - I understood that her parents were cruel about her appearance?

I agree all the men look the same. Even worse they look comical.

Botox and fillers can do some strange things to the face. Bradley Cooper has started to morph into Barry Manilow who was morphing into Rod Stewart

They do look alike Tori and Khloe have always been taunted for their looks

I know someone who is naturally beautiful. She still has Botox and lip fillers and any photos she puts of herself on FB are always heavily filtered. It’s sad.

At first glance I thought, oh she looks 'good'. On a second glance, before sitting down etc and I moved slightly I could see a face which looked like it had been carved from marble and slightly cartoonish, lots of angles and there was no way she was a model. In fact my aunt, who is now in her early 60s was a fairly successful model in her teens and 20s and looks good now - but I guess she has good or fairly good genes. As far as I know she wouldn't touch plastic surgery, botox etc.

I mean if you like that stuff you'd say she looks 'good'. And it shouldn't matter a blind bit really what I think about her looks, she should be able to enhance her looks any way she likes.

I worked for a short period with a perfectly pretty woman in her early 30s with fillers, duck lips etc - who spent most of her money on skin care etc - and had now regretted it, so she told me - but I think she must've looked fine before she had this done as she was naturally pretty. I just think it is such a shame these days there's so much pressure to look X way and to stave off each and every wrinkle.

I was at a nail salon on Friday night and the owner was complaining about her big nose saying she'd always got teased about it - it was fine! Maybe a feature but certainly not huge and in proportion with her face,

It is so ridiculous to think that in the eyes of a lot of people and including media, you need to be a perfect symmetrical face etc or on the other end of the spectrum to have huge lips and bambi eyelashes and plump cheeks to look 'good' or acceptable even.

I think some people take it too far, loads of film stars etc have had plastic surgery…its just very good subtle work

I also think its many fillers that cause some of the problems on older people who just aren’t meant to have plumped cheeks and lips

I would have work done in the future and ive already had a lower face lift for my neck…but my neck is genetics the face oift is just staving off the inevitable for a few more years

Some look good (Bruce Springsteen, eg) but most men end up looking like bad women, and with big flashing teeth that are too big for their mouths, startled round eyes and luxuriant hair that no man over 50 has had ever.

I suppose a minor amount of surgery, skilfully done can be justified if you have a particular hangup about part of your appearance eg if gives you more confidence and makes you feel better about yourself. But I do agree with previous posts that many girls have it done too young when they are naturally beautiful and need no enhancements. Some have so much work done that they look frankly ridiculous and resemble drag queens. Above all I think personality and character should shine through, too much value is placed on appearance these days, that’s the media for you

Yup all the women out there who have had stuff done and you don’t realise!! My friend got away with it for years- now had her lips done and looks ridiculous.

Society won't accept beautiful women ageing. I just had a look at her Instagram and she's funny, clearly a devoted mother and has a whole host of talents. Sad that you are more interested in her looks. And i expect that's why she has a hard time allowing herself to age.

@LipstickLou - I’m similar to you. Very similar skin, age but not the fish! I think it’s partly down to excellent skin on parents side but my maternal grandmother always said to use facial sunscreen every day!

I don’t think expensive creams help but some sort of cream does. I’ve worn foundation on and off throughout my life.

I don’t use Botox etc but do use retinol, vitamin c cream or serum when I remember.

I can’t definitely tell most women who’ve had Botox/fillers etc. Just the frozen look, over inflated lips etc - even more defined lips etc I generally think most have had work done. I was out with family yesterday and in a cafe I obviously didn’t say anything whilst she was there but the woman behind us had definitely had fillers/Botox/lip enhancement etc and after she left I mentioned to my brother I’m sure she didn’t need it before!

My friend who has Botox and other work panics looking like her mum who’s a normal late 60s/70 year old woman who’s had nothing done, grown a fringe to hide forehead wrinkles but looks really great!

I do get told I look younger - mostly by relatives but most of my friends look good too, looking after yourself helps generally.

I have worked in beauty for over thirty years. I don't have facial wrinkles. I have always worn sun protection and foundation. I also eat fish daily. On my arms I have wrinkles and hyper pigmentation from driving and I don't put on body sunscreen for everyday. I have never had botox or fillers. Would I? Nope. I think a good lipstick and dental work can achieve wonders. I once had a client who insisted I didn't have work done so she could say my complexion was due to her creams. The caveat was irrelevant but she didn't believe I was au naturale. I think if you are facially disfigured or have a huge nose, ears etc go ahead. But age catches us all. I don't mind telling people my age. I just wish my body looked as good as my face.

It's society's obsession with looking youthful that is the driver. Such things as total horror about wrinkles, soft jaw lines and non-plum lips.

In reality shiny foreheads and faces that don't move make a person look old, just not in the way nature intended. And while some older women look better than others they look better than of they would of they had surgery.

As I mentioned early, CZJ's mother is stunning, so no doubt CZJ would have aged extremely well too. Amd if she's had work she saw a better surgeon than her daughter.

Actually there's a question, do surgeions do fillers? Or can you get those at a beauticians? Same with botox?

Many Spanish actresses look their age and even older than their peers yet still get work and are not criticized for their looks.

Some horrod comments here...no wonder women are getting so much work done ! Im 43 and if i can stave off wrinkles i will. Id rather have a shiny forehead than deep furrows myself but each to their own.

Only seen real housewives a few times and I think because there all in the same circle they all get it done and they all encourage each other and as a result they actually do not know how bizarre they look, when I catch it it’s like looking at strange creatures. I also find it ageing, and as for Botox yes let’s inject botulism into ourselves that’s never going to go wrong is it.

JOAN COLLINS..she's always denied any surgery and has claimed that it is keeping out of the sun and good genes that has given her youthful looks...yeah right love! You have been blessed, but you have had a bit of help....just admit it, at least make me feel better about my sagging, aging old jowls and wrinkles..
