First look: our lifestyle editor tries Spacegoods’ new Glow Dust

My own mum has been raving about Spacegoods for weeks, so imagine my excitement when I was offered the chance to try the brand’s newest release: Glow Dust.

A review of Spacegoods' new Glow Dust

Launched this month, Glow Dust is a collagen and mushroom super blend designed to support six key areas - energy, mood, gut health, skin, hormones and healthy ageing - all in one daily ritual.

And given the growing obsession with collagen supplements, this feels like a timely addition to the wellness market.

What is Spacegoods Glow Dust?

Spacegoods first arrived on the scene in 2022 with Rainbow Dust, a mushroom-based drink mix that quickly went viral. Fast forward three years and the brand has a UK customer base of more than 150,000. To date, the brand has offered three core products: Hydro Dust, Astro Dust and Rainbow Dust. Glow Dust is the latest drop, which the brand describes as ‘an all-in-one collagen and mushroom super blend - not just another supplement, but a ritual.’

Key ingredients

  • Hydrolysed bovine collagen for skin elasticity and hydration

  • Tremella mushroom to support collagen production

  • B-vitamin complex (B2, B6, B12) for energy and mood

  • Pre- and probiotics (ActiBio® and Livaux®) to support gut health

  • Vitamins D3, K2, C and E plus iron, folic acid and biotin

  • Red algae calcium for bone and hormone support

With its pink hue and berry flavour, Glow Dust looks pretty in the glass and tastes better than most greens powders.

How to use it

I received the Glow Dust starter pack to try, which comes with a scoop, whisk and bottle. You’d get these too if you opt for a subscription. To create your Glow Dust concoction, all you need do is:

  • Add one 8g scoop to a glass

  • Mix with 500 ml of cold water (for a stronger taste, try 300ml)

  • Whisk for best results (or shake vigorously in the bottle)

  • Drink daily, either in the morning or early afternoon

The brand advises that you have one serving a day, for at least three months for optimal results, though I found making two servings in one bottle enough to get me through each day (and to adjust the taste for personal preference).

Spacegoods’ Glow Dust is easy and fast to whip up for the day ahead

My first impressions

I tried Glow Dust over a week, mixing it into water each morning ready for the day ahead. It’s been simple enough to add into my morning routine, and requires just a couple of minutes to measure, fill and whisk away.

In terms of taste, it’s surprisingly pleasant. I’m someone who is a bit weird with textures in liquids - bitty orange juice? No thank you - but Glow Dust is smooth when whisked properly. It’s sweet and berry-like, with a hint of mint. It’s a lot easier to drink than other green powders I’ve tried over the years.

The packaging is sleek, colourful and on-brand for Spacegoods. I particularly appreciate the multicoloured scoop to help measure servings properly, and the whisk is a nice pink. Admittedly, that’s not my vibe, but for a kitchen utensil it does the job.

Over the course of the week, I have noticed a subtle boost in energy compared to my usual mid-morning slump - I can only imagine this being more effective as I continue drinking it each day. I’ve had better digestion - TMI, apologies - and I feel less bloated and more regular.

On the skin front, there’s been no miracles yet (it’s early days), and I have had a breakout linked to my menstrual cycle - something no supplement can realistically override.

Who might it work for?

Glow Dust is pitched as an all-in-one blend, but realistically it’s most useful for a few types of people.

If you’re already popping several different supplements every morning, this could cut the faff. If you often hit an energy slump mid-morning, the B-vits might give you a steadier boost. And if you’ve got something like a wedding or holiday coming up, the collagen and biotin could help skin and hair behave a bit better in the run-up.

On the other hand, if you’re vegan or just don’t fancy shelling out £49 a month, it’s probably not for you.

Who it might not suit

  • Vegetarians and vegans (it contains bovine collagen)

  • Anyone hoping for overnight beauty transformations - this is more about gradual, inside-out support.

  • Those on a tight budget, as at £49 a month (or £39 on subscription) it’s an investment rather than a casual add-on

The verdict so far

So far, Spacegoods Glow Dust seems worth the fuss. It’s easy to prepare, tastes good and is far more enjoyable to drink than many of the greens powders it’s being pitched against.

I can’t yet comment on visible beauty results - collagen and skin benefits typically take at least a month or two to show - but I did notice more immediate effects within the first week. My energy levels feel steadier, I’ve had fewer mid-morning dips and my digestion has been more regular.

Glow Dust also works on a psychological level. The packaging and berry-pink colour make it something you can slot into your routine easily. Rather than swallowing a handful of tablets or gagging down something grassy, this feels like a small moment of self-care.

That said, it won’t be for everyone. At £49 a month (or £39 on subscription) it’s an investment, and while it simplifies a supplement stack, it’s not cheap compared with single-focus collagen powders. It also won’t suit vegans or anyone looking for an entirely food-based approach.

Final verdict: Overall, Glow Dust feels less like “just another supplement” and more like a small daily reset. If you’re curious about collagen and adaptogens but wary of bitter-tasting greens, this could be a good place to start. For me, it slots neatly into my day as a practical, mood-lifting ritual that I actually look forward to.
