Just saw this, as a firm snp supporter they have just lost my vote.

Does anyone know what the official SNP line is on why she was sacked?

ie the one they are telling the public as it will show how open they are about what they doing.

Oh heck what's happened?

I've spent all weekend on an SNP thread (the one with Nicola's home made vid) arguing for women's rights and trying to explain trans ideology - I now seem to be quite a high profile 'hateful TERF' 🙄

They're going to lose my vote at this rate.

That seems like such a crazy move. Some are now criticising her for not being happy that someone else has an exciting chance to cover this brief!!

Is this normal behaviour- to castigate someone for not being happy at being sacked - they are truly unhinged.

If I was a Scottish woman I would be worried about the prospect of independence with the SNP in charge - there would be absolutely no grown ups left in the room!

Absolutely fucking shocking. They can go fucking whistle for a vote from me, ever the fuck again.

'Nicola Sturgeon knows her time as First Minister and SNP leader is nearly over, and now just wants to do everything possible to prevent Cherry being her successor,'

I agree. I don't have a strong opinion on independence one way or another because I don't live there but so many nationalists must be questioning whether it's worth it with this shoddy version of the SNP at the helm.

Jobs for everyone except Joanna Cherry, Angus MacNeil and Kenny MacAskill (all GC).

What reason did they give?

Report
ArabellaScott · 01/02/2021 15:03

Yes, it is fucking insane, Barracker. Cherry is - all issues of women's rights aside - one of the most capable and skilled politicians the SNP have. To sack her is ... well. It's the end.

So now the frontbench has no one who doesn't pretend being woman is a special feeling a man can have.

I emailed them to let them know thy lost my vote for this.

Apparently the youth are leaving due to alleged transphobia ( my arse), well I've left due to them fucking hating women. I'm livid.

The Sandyford are continuing to experiment on children despite the high court ruling on Keira Bell's case because they are so much cleverer than everyone in England apparently.

Please start your own party Joanna.

Broadly, why is NS not got long left as First Minister? Who are the realistic heirs to the position?

Lost my vote too. I either spoil my ballot or don't vote. Caught between anger and absolute despair.

This whole things proves a lot of points.

I see in the replies to both tweets are several men being glad, telling her she deserves it for being "transphobic", I am only seeing men doing that.

I noticed this, too.

Gloating men, but the women doing this are few and far between.

I wonder whether Andy Whightman would be willing to join with the sack-ees and form a new party?

Joan McAlpine wasn't sacked, well, not yet.

If so, tells us everything about how they feel about women. It's not just whoever in SNP that have this attitude and expectations of women. Hide and disregard our own feelings, in order to please others.

Absolutely pathetic.
She's an immensely talented woman.
Was actually planning to vote SNP in May. Not now.
Lost all respect for Nicola Sturgeon.

One party source said: "It's not surprising that Joanna has chosen to play a victim rather than supporting colleagues who have an exciting chance to cover the brief."

Bloody hell.

She’s not been sacked but she is being cancelled. Rumour has it she’ll be replaced by ‘differently-abled’ box ticker Emma Harper in May.
