Update on the famous Dr H

Just had an update today from the GMC. They are concerned about his abuse of women and doxxing of Posie. They are regarding this as behaviour unbecoming of a doctor and likely to bring the profession into disrepute. Also taking our concerns about treating vulnerable people etc. He has been informed that the investigations are ongoing.

Thanks for the update and for reporting him.
I’m so pleased they are taking his behaviour so seriously.

Mrskeats · 18/01/2019 16:37

If anyone else has any more evidence then I can send it on. Thanks

I bet he's royally pissed off. Good.

Great to see the GMC take the issue of his odious behaviour seriously.

Katispancuddly · 18/01/2019 17:03

I can not understand for the life of me why he behaves like he does when he's a professional.

SalrycLuxx · 18/01/2019 17:05

Good.

Purplewithgreenspots · 18/01/2019 17:08

[pedant]- pretty sure its infamous, as his behaviour is not good.

Glad it looks like they are taking it seriously.

Mner2019 · 18/01/2019 17:10

Great news! Well done

Mrskeats · 18/01/2019 17:12

Yep I know kat. It takes a special type of arrogance to behave as he does on an open forum. The letter mentions quite a few complainants too which is encouraging. The concern of the GMC is also that he reacts with such rage if anyone dares to challenge him. Hardly the mark of a professional.

Good, I'm glad they are saying this isn't how a doctor should behave. I have found it so unsettling to think that I could end up needing a doctor and it is someone like him, with such an extreme hatred of women that he can't even hide if his professional career depended on it. I know any doctor could feel similar and if it weren't for social media you'd not know, but he's so sure that it's perfectly acceptable to treat women like this he's arrogantly doing it in plain sight where there is a permanent record and 10s of thousands of people see it.

Mrskeats · 18/01/2019 17:14

Yep. And imagine if something bad happens and he’s been flagged up to the GMC many times. Not going to look good is it?

OlennasWimple · 18/01/2019 17:25

This is excellent new.

It's beyond me why he doesn't just put a sock in it and lie low while the investigation is completed, like most sensible people would do. I can only conclude that he really really doesn't think that he is doing anything wrong - which is a pretty damning indictment of the process that led to him being licenced to practice in the first place TBH

Mrskeats · 18/01/2019 17:27

He’s not going to change. He’s too entrenched now. Plus look who he hangs out with.

OP posts:
EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 18/01/2019 17:29

Great. I'd be extremely nervous about being treated by him.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 18/01/2019 17:38

When he was recently making jokes with the woman* formerly known as Tony Halliday and Steven Hayden, who was convicted of assault with a golf club, about turning up to an event that some women were going to with golf clubs in a "ahahahahahaha isn't assaulting someone with a golf club so funny, aha haha TERFs deserve it hahaha" way, I just though ENOUGH. Too far.

WaddIelikeapenguin · 18/01/2019 17:38

Great news Mrsk GinGinGin

DeRigueurMortis · 18/01/2019 17:39

Excellent news

BlackeyedGruesome · 18/01/2019 17:43

Well done. It is frightening to think he is a Dr.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 18/01/2019 18:09

I thought I read on a previous thread that any time a new complaint was submitted, the whole process of reviewing someone's conduct had to start again. Does anyone know if that's true?

GrinitchSpinach · 18/01/2019 18:20

Yes, that was shocking. Hope you submitted that exchange already, Mrskeats.
