I've loved that thread. It highlights the extent of the mental gymnastics required to believe this nonsense. If your belief system has got you to the point where you're defending rapists wholesale as a group then surely that's time to sit down and reflect on where those beliefs are taking you.

Well, I applaud their honesty. They may be bonkers, but they do at least have the merit of being logically consistent (if you accept their totally bonkers starting position).

Because if TWAW, and self ID is the only criterion by which to decide whether someone is a woman, then, yes, logically, if you accept those two premises, Jacinta Brooks is every bit as much a woman as Pips Bunce, AllieLia, me, Mother Theresa...

Or alternatively, if you reject those two premises, and instead take biology to be the defining criterion, then three of the above list are not women, and two are.

I know which view I hold.

Well, for what it's worth, the person ready to die on #rapisthill is, indeed, logically consistent. Either everyone can be a woman and needs to be treated as such, if demanded, or there is an objective feature that makes one a women, no matter what one does. Either way, you can't lose womanhood because of some crime you commit.

Of course, I personally could never bring myself to, say, die on #definitivelyprovenpaedochildmurdererhill, when it comes to the death penality, even though I am really, really opposed to the death penalty. I guess, I am not totally consistent in that regard.
