Me today

B - 1 Weetabix, ss milk, raisons
S- 1 pear
L- baked potato with tuna and light mayo and a side salad
D- grilled chicken breast with roasted vegetables.
S- 1 sugar free jelly pot.

herbal teas all day.

Bakingnovice Tue 28-May-13 08:40:23

Oh dear. Spectacular fail for me yesterday. Did well till 7pm then ended up having home made pizza and some choc buttons! Two fasts back to back now. I'm not going to feel too bad as I really enjoyed the meal all prepared by hubby. It's miserable rain here so hopefully I will do better today. Good luck everyone.

Morning! Shiny new thread…I like it! grin

Weekend food diary (gulp)

B – croissant
L – Hamburger and medium fries courtesy of McDonalds
D – Steak and ale pie with mash
S – half bag of quavers, tea, water, 2 glasses of cava, 1 diet coke, 1 redbull

B – chocolate crunch cereal (which I didn’t really like)
L/D – BBQ time! Olives, ciabatta, Doritos, dips, salad with feta, corn on the cob, pasta salad, lamb, pork ribs, tomato and onion salad, potatoes.
S – copious amounts of wine, a milk lolly

B – fried egg and sausage
D – BBQ! Salad, corn on the cob, 2 sausages, chicken drumstick
S – half a bottle of white wine, Doritos and dips, 2 milk lollies, lots of orange juice

Surprisingly I’m still weighing in at 8st 12lbs.

B – soft boiled egg, half a slice of toast, small glass of orange juice
L – mugshot. Couldn’t be bothered to make lunch last night
D – chicken fajitas! Totally unhealthy but one of my favourite dinners and I haven’t had it for ages!
S – tea, water, grapes

I’m shattered this morning – stupidly burnt my legs yesterday (sat in the garden all day doing nothing but reading a book, heaven) and didn’t sleep at all well last night. Busy day at work ahead but I’m hoping to get home at a reasonable time to do some exercise.

Aiming to be 8st 10lbs by the end of the week.

Have a good Tuesday everyone smile

Emilythornesbff Tue 28-May-13 08:59:55

Morning sixpack today's menu looks good.

baking yesterday really doesn't look bad. If you didn't eat until 7 that's pretty good and you'll still have a deficit.

hazel bbq, wine and a suntan sound like the perfect recipe for a BH weekend grin. And today's menu looks very restrained.
I'm looking forward to getting mugshots in for when I go back to wrk [sob]

NFD for me. Cheese on toast, coffee, half an apple and half a slice of chocolate cake (very annoyed about the cake, stealth calories if I'm honest.) so I'm out for coffee today, will skip lunch (saving calories and pennies) and having cold roast beef salad for supper with (might as well confess now) leftover fruit crumble blush.
Lots of walking with pram as poor baby dd has jabs today sad so into town for that then compensation coffee with friend.

Hazelbrowneyes Tue 28-May-13 09:39:37

Oh yes, might as well confess I'm likely to have a glass of wine tonight to finish the bottle.

I could really do with chocolate cake today. Really. Yum.

Emily I really hope the jabs aren't too stressful for your DD. Big hugs. xxx

iheartshoes Tue 28-May-13 10:44:27

Morning ladies. Menu plan for today
B - peanut butter on brown toast, cup of tea
L - slice of roast beef, salad leaves, hummus
D - baked salmon w soy sauce , ginger and garlic & more salad

Going to try for no snacks and lots of water

SixPackWellies Tue 28-May-13 14:19:48

Hello again, Fellow Revolutionaries.

Have fallen at not only the first hurdle, but all my hurdles! A good former colleague, and friend has lost her job, so went out to the pub with her for wine and commiserations.

I am hopeless, because any excuse and I am metaphorically waving my dieting knickers in the air.

I had not a lot to offer her in terms of comfort, just a shoulder to lean on and an ear to listen.

On another topic.... does anyone else have another issue in their life as well as food that they want to kick to the kerb? I am a terrible procrastinator. I went freelance recently. I have a new project. It is easy peasy. But I am putting it off. I could have put it to bed today, and gained myself some brownie points, but am fiddle faddling with it. Maybe because it is easy. But, I want to overhaul my life really, not just my diet.

me me me. smile

How is everyone today?

Hazelbrowneyes Tue 28-May-13 16:17:31

I have also failed today. Lunch has been a packet of quavers and a bag of maltesers. Oops.

iheart your menu sounds fab

wellies so sorry to hear about your friend. I totally hear you with regards to procrastination. It's probably the thing I am bestest at. sad I'm hugely busy at work and there are small, niggly jobs that need doing but I don't enjoy doing them so each day, I put them in my diary to do and then ignore them. It frustrates the crap out of me if I'm honest. Take now, I'm meant to be inputting some data, instead, I'm on here just browsing. GAH! I'm also going for a life overhaul. I'm just procrastinating over it!!

50shadesofbrown Tue 28-May-13 16:37:43

Hi everyone!

Sounds Yummy Hazel try not to stress about it, the occasional blow out can help stop your metabolism getting suppressed too much, plus it helps stop you feel as resentful at being 'good' the rest of the time.

I've just ordered this so am going to try & increase my exercise a bit, can come down in the morning before DD wakes up & do a few minutes, it all helps.

Very pleased with myself, someone brought in wedding cake at work today & I didn't have any, usually I would be first!

Menu today:
B spelt toast & peanut butter, coffee.
L cheese & tomato sandwich on spelt bread, couple of florets of raw cauliflower (much nicer than it sounds)!
D toasted rye bread with avocado, smoked salmon & salad.
Nuts & fruit for snacks if I want, lots of water. Nothing sugary & no artificial sweetener in anything. Loving that homemade minty lemonade, I don't add any sugar though.

Onwards & downwards fellow Revolutionaries!

50shadesofbrown Tue 28-May-13 16:50:52

Oops that took me such a ridiculously long time to write on my phone (while being molested by 1y DD) that I missed 2 posts. blush Sorry to hear about your friend Wellies, afraid I don't have anything terribly helpful to add but I didn't want you to think I was being am ignorant cow! I'm also shocking for procrastination, it took me about 2 (3?) weeks to ring about the tax credits as I am crap at admin & will do pretty much anything to avoid it. I work in an office doing an admin job - worst choice ever!

Emilythornesbff Tue 28-May-13 17:01:48

Dd very brave thanks hazel

wellies sad to hear your friend's news.
But I confess grin at "waving dieting knickers in the air]

50shades and iheart envy at peanut butter.

Must get some ryvita for dirty lunches.

Bakingnovice Tue 28-May-13 17:33:03

Wellies your poor friend.

Emily hope jabs went ok.

Anyone struggling today. So depressed cos of the immensely shit weather. I've got no motivation to do anything. Have only had water so far as too miserable to do anything. Sorry for bringing the mood down. Just wish I could go into the kitchen and bake or cook but ill end up scoffing the lot.

Emilythornesbff Tue 28-May-13 18:09:29

grin loving the idea of dirty lunches
Bloody autocorrect.
I meant diet-y, of course!

And hazel I believe both quavers and maltesers are largely made from air. So no worries there.

Emilythornesbff Tue 28-May-13 18:11:42

Poor baking
The weather is shit.
Well done for not baking (as it were) I made a chocolate cake at the weekend and it's been calling me ever since. Mistake!

Hazelbrowneyes Tue 28-May-13 18:21:28

I've consumed less calories than I would have done if I'd actually made egg sandwiches for today grin

Have decided I'm having tuna & sweetcorn with pasta for lunch tomorrow. It's my favourite lunch ever (well ok, tuna and sweetcorn sandwiches are my fave but I'm trying to avoid too much bread) but rarely get it because DH doesn't like sweetcorn (weirdo)

I'm still at work. Does look like we're nearing the end of the day though, which is excellent as I'm very hungry.

Emily & baking I haven't baked for ages because I can't help but scoff it. My new favourite thing is to make cookies, which obviously leads to me eating the cookies. I also have had 3 separate baking disasters recently which admittedly has put me off. The last lemon drizzle cake I made went straight in the bin. The only success was a malteser traybake which was the easiest thing ever.

Must stop talking about cake. Am too hungry.

Emilythornesbff Tue 28-May-13 20:08:18

Oh hazel I do need your malteser tray bake recipe.
Let's call it an emergency. grin

Emilythornesbff Tue 28-May-13 20:10:48

Ate a piece of cake WITH CREAM!!!!!! After my crumble blush

Oh, the shame.

iheartshoes Tue 28-May-13 21:50:43

What kind of cake was it ? Mmmm.... <helpful>

Bakingnovice Tue 28-May-13 22:23:59

Did I hear cake?? Ooh lovely. I've got such an urge to make flapjacks 'for the kids'. But it's a lie!!!! It's so I can scoff the lot as I'm in comfort eating mode.

I'm not baking them till Saturday when I can scoff them without guilt.

Dirty lunches Emily?! Sounds good. Love dirty food. My ultimate dirty lunch would be chicken and chips..... Haven't had them in years.

twinklestar2 Tue 28-May-13 22:25:37

Here you all are!

I've practically had a week off - oops! But back on track tomorrow!

Fruit and yog

Grilled lamb chops and salad

5km run

Emilythornesbff Wed 29-May-13 08:11:05

Welcome back twinkle
Today looks good.

Now tell us about last week grin

iheart it was a chocolate loaf cake blush

baking I don't think I've ever had chicken and chips. I feel deprived now.
Flapjacks are fabulous.

Ok, so bf today is muesli and fruit compote.
Lunch: no idea. Something small and portable, maybe nothing.
Supper (supper? Is it supper or dinner??. We'll be in Yorkshire at the weekend, that's tea isn't it?) oh well it's chicken and pasta tonight. Try not to go mad (oops) and I'm fasting tomorrow. Must give them something I don't like for dinner. grin

Hazelbrowneyes Wed 29-May-13 08:11:30

Em This is the recipe I use traybake

B – soft boiled egg, half a slice of toast, small glass of orange juice
L – Err…quavers and maltesers
D – chicken fajitas
S – tea, water, diet coke, 1 glass of wine, grapes.

I’m not drinking nearly enough water at the moment. Got on the scales this morning…back to 9st 2lbs. Weep.

Today I plan on drinking a lot of water. Well, more water than usual anyway.

B – none. I’ve been at work since 7.15. I’ve got a croissant with me but I might have a handful of grapes instead.
L – tuna and sweetcorn sandwiches grin I was making T&S pasta but then realised I used the pasta up on Sunday and I didn’t fancy cold spaghetti.
D – chicken curry bulked out with peppers and mushrooms. Probably with poppadums instead of rice.
S – tea, water, maybe a small glass of wine (to finish the bottle, natch). I shouldn’t need to snack as I’ll make the sandwiches last all day.

So, less than 2 weeks until holiday and my favourite pair of shorts still don’t fit. Damn. I am limited on what I can take (going for 4 nights with handluggage only, actually I may start really fretting about this soon) so it’s crucial that I either lose the weight or pack for the weight I am now, which would mean finding time to go shopping.

Holidays are stressful.

twinkle great to see you! Your menu looks fab (love lamb) and 5km run too! Get you!

baking I’m now thinking about ultimate food porn. I think I should have a laminated top 5 for this. I’m off to decide what should be on it!

Emilythornesbff Wed 29-May-13 08:41:08

Ooh thanks for the recipe hazel
Take yourself shopping. Buy some new holiday shorts (which will be too big in a few weeks-excellent non scales victory-) and a water bottle.
I was looking at the "amazing water diet" thread that amazingmumof6 started. Some good points there I thought.
Might buy one myself today too. (bottle, not shorts)

Right, off to walk with pram to the post office. Need to send stuff sold on eBay. Not the best way to offload baby clothes. I think I'll put the really nice things away ready for the next family baby smile.

Might even get to the gym tonight if the gooseberries go to sleep at a reasonable time.

Hazelbrowneyes Wed 29-May-13 12:13:25

Em I bought new shorts last year (baby blue, what WAS I thinking?! I am not a baby blue sort of person) and they're now too small. Sob. Water diet eh? Might have to have a look at that. Lovely idea to keep really nice baby things for future family babies smile

I have purchased ZERO snacks today ladies. I have sneaked in a can of diet coke though. Am already full from half of one sandwich. I'm not used to eating so much bread. Oh and I've had my croissant, couldn't resist.

It's such a beautiful day, I really wish I had a proper lunch break. I'd love to go for a half hour walk, just to get some fresh air in my lungs. Actually I'd love to just sit by the river with a book, my lunch and no effing customers interrupting me.

twinklestar2 Wed 29-May-13 12:20:04

My week off involved chippie, pizza, garlic bread... All bad stuff and lots of bad carbs!! Ooppppppsssss!

My period arrived so gonna blame it on that and get back on track!
