Realised I filled up the last thread with inanity!

Come one, come all, what's your cat up to today?

Mine are pleased that I'm home in time for the end of Pointless. Unfortunately they hate Pointless and would rather sit outside in the rain glowering in at me.

I’m with your cats on pointless! Mine are flomping round as usual. Giving me big eyes in the hope I’ll give them treats. (They’ve had two lots today already)

Not posted in ages! I bought a new bed today for Phineas and Piper, to put in front of the fire in the tv room. It's lovely and fleecy and soft and I want to curl up in it. Obviously they both hate it and if I plonk them in it, they immediately leap out and start washing like I've just thrown them in a vat of acid.

It only took three months for Phin to start using his other bed so... fingers crossed.

Mine are doing their usual daytime occupation - lying curled up on my bed. They tend to do that from around 10am until some time between 4-6pm, when they saunter down for some snacking on their dry food & maybe a drink. Then back up to bed until exactly 8.29pm (supper is served between 8:30 and 9).

Boycat is dead to the world when he's on the bed during the day, doesn't even uncurl for tummy rubs. Girlcat stares at me through the door whenever I go to the loo so I go in to stroke her head - she then promptly flomps onto her back with her legs spread wide for tummy rubs.

Bear in mind that Girlcat will never get on the bed when I'm in it, and Boycat won't let me get up in the mornings until I've given him at least 15 minutes of tummy rubs. Of course if He's on the bed when I get in at night, he panics if I go to even touch him then.

I've just bought some new speakers which are causing much ear swivelling. Little M particularly fascinated - he just reached up to pat them then got freaked out and bounced away. They both seem to appreciate music though, and will often seek it out, coming into the room where it's playing. I just hope it doesn't hurt their sensitive little ear-drums!

CatBaby is offended today. I had the temerity to sit on my her bed during HumanBaby's nap and didn't provide sufficient chin scritching

1 of my cats is feeling VERY sorry for herself. She had an op to remove a hernia on Thursday and has been stuck indoors with a cone on her head since. She’s thoroughly fed up. Post op check up tomorrow so I’m hoping she’s healing well so we can free her from her coney nightmare!

She wants to go outside but can't cos there's a big doggy in the garden. So, in the meantime, she's catching up on her ablutions.

Vinocat has a belly full of chicken so is purring/snoozing. She had a trip to the vets for a weight check today and has put on 90g. Vet was very happy to see her brighter after looking like she'd given up on life two weeks ago.

One of mine had an impromptu trip to the vets this evening. Was sort of head bobbing like he wanted to be sick, then did loads and loads of sneezes. The vet thinks he may have/have had a piece of grass stuck up his nasal passage somewhere. It may or may not have shifted with the sneezing. No way of being certain without intubating which the vet was reluctant to do as he seemed back to normal.
I will have to see how he is in the morning, they are such a worry!

So I've discovered my cat loves crisps. He jumped up and whipped the thing out my mouth oh well now I've found something to bribe him with..they were chilli flavoured too
