wtf is it about ?! We caught an episode before DSD this morning , kids are really too old for CBeebies so it has (fortuitously) passed us by until now. What planet (or drugs) are the "writers" on ? It is curiously hypnotic though ....

it's meant to be bringing the pages of a nursery rhyme book to life. oh and encouraging kids to sleep

It's cr*p. I think it was thought up by Granny Murray from "Me Too" to lull small children into a hypnotic trance so she can capture them and eat them for her dinner.

I find it very soothing, and yes, hypnotic.
Personally, I just can't take it in, but my boys seem to totally understand it.

It's dreadful. Just awful. All those revolting noises and ridiculous grammar.

We went on dd's (5) school trip last week and a girl behind us chanted 'ninky nonky pinky ponky' the whole way while all her friends chortled.

AARRRGHHHH!

what are you talking about?? She is pure maniacal evil! You realise that Claude is one of her charges who wouldn't eat his vegetables don't you?

Report
imaginaryfriend · 26/07/2007 22:16

Thankfully dd hates it.

Iggle Piggle
Upsy Daisy
Tombely Boos
Ponty Pines
Macca Pacca

The train is the Ninky Nonk and the balloon which disturbingly seems powered by farts is the Pinky Ponk

In my defense I have 3 under 3

Me Too has also passed us by , luckily by the soudns of it. Do you reckon there are subliminal messages in ITNG, like this programme may be weird but go and buy the merchandise anyway.

Justin is the nemesis of Evil. Granny Murray is his evil mum.

The Pontipines need to be reported to social services for over crowding. Them and their neighbours.

Is it me or is the Pee wee herman bloke on Me too a bit mismatched with his wife Tina the taxi driver, shouldn't he be with Ted the taxi driver......?

Report
MrsScavo · 26/07/2007 22:19

Granny Murray is not evil.

Granny Murry is drunk!

Report
Loobeeloo · 26/07/2007 22:19

You can be evil as well as drunk can't you?

Report
SoupDragon · 26/07/2007 22:20

Drink does not do that to a person.

It is completely bizarre, but it is the ONLY time my dd sits still for more than 5 minutes. My DH keeps imitating the pinky ponk for her amusement though which makes her giggle but doesn't impress me very much....

Is the pinky ponk the farting thing? If so, he's not imitating it, he's just using it as a cover story.

Report
GColdtimer · 26/07/2007 22:21

And who is Granny Murray?

Report
LIZS · 26/07/2007 22:21

I'm going to regret asking but who is Granny Murray ?
