And once again, no-one is doing 'Song for Guy' sad

All the usual suspects, song-wise, are present. Even managing to shoe-horn 'I'm every woman' in, even though it's a cover.
Looking forward to Lamenting Lozza, making HWIK sound like a funeral march.

Despite the theme, I am disappointed 'Don't let the sun.' isn't the Nik Kershaw song 'I won't let the sun...' Wouldn't be unusual for Louis to completely mess up the theme, after allgrin.

And it's a double elimination. Will Melty 'still be standing' by Monday? Will the fact OTY are doing something grown up and serious for once , be their downfall?

See y'all later. I am in homework hell. Is it too early for wine?

Woohoo, I'm looking forward to the thread, I mean the show wink, already!

Another ballard for Pugsy , he could be gone. People might get bored!

Raahh Sat 22-Nov-14 15:01:27

I think Pugsy is being sabotaged, as Cowell as realised that much as people like him, he is forrin- and I'm sure there was a backlash when a forrin act won BGT. So, he can only be allowed to come second- hence he is now trotting out ballad after ballad, and the judges are criticising things that they liked at the beginning.

That's my opinion, anyway. grin

DillydollyRIP Sat 22-Nov-14 15:16:09

Very apt song for Stevie smile

squoosh Sat 22-Nov-14 15:54:41

Elton John? Whitney Houston?

INSPIRED. I can't remember the last time I last heard a song by one of those over emoting windbags on the X Factor.

RudolphUcker Sat 22-Nov-14 16:09:50

And Year Nine Detention 'singing' Don't Let Louis The Sun Go Down On Me, double Urgh. I predict LOTS of pointing for emphasis. LOTS.

Raahh Sat 22-Nov-14 16:16:16

Do you think the Mastrb8's will have stools? Louis likes a stool.

RudolphUcker Sat 22-Nov-14 16:19:29

He does. I think yes, and standing up at the key change. Along with the fervent pointing they all do.

squoosh Sat 22-Nov-14 16:21:45

I'd love if the memo 'Masterb8 must have stools as props on stage' got lost in translation and they all came out clutching poo samples.

TheFairyCaravan Sat 22-Nov-14 16:26:18

Chezza is ill and might bp not make it tonight with a bit of luck!

I predict stools and lots of poo squats, not necessarily in that order!

DillydollyRIP Sat 22-Nov-14 16:43:45

My nan reckons chezza is pregnant.
Not sure where she's got that from!

squoosh Sat 22-Nov-14 16:45:43

Nans are usually right in these matters I find............

Hmmm, but I'm still highly dubious of Chezza's happy union, I just don't get a 'loved up couple' vibe from them.

DillydollyRIP Sat 22-Nov-14 16:50:31

She must quite like him to take on that surname?
Wouldn't fancy saying that every time I had to call somewhere - assuming she does that sort if thing herself.

squoosh Sat 22-Nov-14 16:52:17

To be fair it doesn't take much for Chezza to change her surname! She probably thinks she sounds dead kontinental n klassy.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds Sat 22-Nov-14 17:32:44

Hecking in!

We have had plans the last 2 or 3 Saturdays so I am really looking forward to tonight with you lot. DH and the kidlets better let me watch live!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds Sat 22-Nov-14 17:34:38

Hecking in?? Which the iPad wants to autocorrect to Heckling In, which is somewhat appropriate, especially for MastRB8 and Stevi...grin

Obv I meant checking in though....

Castlemilk Sat 22-Nov-14 17:41:05

Whitney John v Elton Houston, fab.

SockDrawer Sat 22-Nov-14 17:49:11

Stevi's song made me chuckle.

If uI can stay awake long enough I'll be back for the big event!

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline Sat 22-Nov-14 17:53:10

If they're giving Pugsy a ballad why didn't they give him the one that made the judges fake cry in the auditions.

and how is Heynow going to get on with I will always love youuuuuuuuuuu.

It's going to be awful, I can't wait. grin

Twuntosaur Sat 22-Nov-14 18:01:49

Rubbish rubbish song choices. And is it my imagination, or has Lauren already done How Will I Know (slowly and sadly of course!) And OTTY have already done Something About.. as well?? Or has my poor fevered brain cracked and gained the ability to see the X Factor future? shock

squoosh Sat 22-Nov-14 18:03:11

Twunt you are the Saturday night soothsayer.

Twuntosaur Sat 22-Nov-14 18:05:56

squoosh I resign! I RESIGN!!
<sacrifices ears to the gods of the X factor>

Twuntosaur Sat 22-Nov-14 18:13:25

Oh they only bloody well have already done them. Lauren did this one at the arena audition, OTTY did this at their room audition angry

What's the point of tonight then?
"Sit in bored apathy as contestants recycle songs they sang the other week! But this time surrounded by ladies in PANTS!!"

On the plus side, I don't have x factor powers grin which is a relief.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds Sat 22-Nov-14 18:16:29

And they're not even doing any of the GOOD Elton songs. Where is Your Song?
