Royal style: forget all your stresses as we talk royal dresses

Previous thread

Now. A request. Can we please keep this to critiquing the clothes rather than the wearer?

So if you want to talk about what Meghan's wearing then fine, go ahead. I'm not even saying you have to like everything she wears. This applies to all royal women - if you don't like an outfit then do feel free to say so.

But if you want to talk about "Megxit" then please go to one of the many many other MN threads about it and leave us to our clothes chatter!

Brava Queen. Fingers crossed for some good royal fashion.

Towards the end of the last thread you mentioned Beatrice Borromeo. Apologies if others have already seen this, but I enjoyed this retrospective of her fashion in Tatler. The first outfit though, from 2010 - the salmon satin number - is dreadful, and really shows how her style has evolved:

Very nice, @QueenOfTheAndals! I was just posting on the last thread to ask for more tiaras, and another wedding dress.

Thanks, @MotherofPearl, those photos are fabulous. This dress is just gorgeous.

That's a cute photo of Beatrice and Edo.

Beatrice B's wedding dresses were all so dreamy, especially the white one. Pierre has grown very handsome hasn't he? The opposite of his brother, who was gorgeous in his youth but now looks like a slightly seedy Bradley Cooper impersonator!

At the risk of being accused of fawning (as we were in the last one Smile), thanks for the new thread, Queen!

We will have 2 Kate outings next week the rip to Bradford which I'm guessing most of what we will see is a coat given the weather predictions for next week but also the reception she and William are hosting at bp on behalf of the queen that should be something more interesting hopefully.

Here's Tatler on Charlotte Casiraghi's best style moments. Somewhat eclectic and she does have a touch of Posh Spice Face but she's the image of her beautiful mother.

Good woman yourself Queen! Oh try at reminds me - in the video of PC talking about the Australian fires he says something like “myself and my wife” or maybe even “my wife and myself” and I thought take that MN haters!

Wow @MotherofPearl those clothes!!! absolutely gorgeous! I’d love to see DoC in something more dramatic like this but why should she put herself through the DM hateful pile on.

Beatrice B really is breathtakingly beautiful. Even in that peach monstrosity.

I love Beatrice B's style, she's so elegant. Some of it is too girly for me to wear personally, but she dresses beautifully.

An older but much better Charlotte retrospective. I love that floral ruffled dress!

Phew! Fashion
Thank you

Anyone got any jewellery to link to?
I find the idea of diamonds quite soothing....

Enjoyed the Charlotte retrospective, especially this photo. Could she be any more stylish?!

I linked on the last thread to the woman who designs for Princess Sophia, did not you see? lwljewelry.com/ Incidentally I read an interview with her and she thinks it’s ridiculous that people spend several monthly wages on engagement rings, even though she designs for the rich.

Speaking of diamonds, here are pics of Princesses Margaret and Anne wearing Kate's wedding tiara.

That Charlotte C (early) retrospective is stunning

@SenecaFalls
I love that Cartier Halo tiara. It’s really pretty and I don’t think it was shown to it’s best advantage at the wedding, with the white veil behind it.
I think Kate should wear it with a 60s style updo à la Princess Margaret.

Report
paradyning · 10/01/2020 23:33

How much do you think these tiaras are worth? Is it like having a 3-bed semi in Godalming plonked on your head? Or even more.... would something like the lovers knot be £1M?
