I don't want anything medicated or from the GP I just want to find a good shampoo and conditioner that doesn't flare my scalp up and also makes my hair nice! My hair is dry and coloured too am I doomed or can someone with similar issues recommend something?
(No homemade rinses etc please) :)

Try itchy flaky scalp shampoo by Philip Kingsley. It is expensive but it has changed my life! And you only need a little bit each wash, much less than normal shampoo.

Have you tried using SLS-free products?

SLS can be the cause of skin and scalp irritation, worth eliminating it if you haven't already, to see if it helps.

TBS ginger shampoo works for me also the Loreal men's anti dandruff with the orange lid- which seems to be hard to find at the moment sadly.

I tried the Phillip Kingsley but it didn't work for me and I had such high hopes for this!

Have tried numerous sulfate free shampoos and tbh they seem to make my scalp and hair worse!

TBS ginger worked for me at the start but now every time I use it my scalp gets sore and itchy. I haven't got on with Loreal either.

I have the same problem. I use Body Shop Rainforest shampoo and conditioner. It hasn't got rid of the psoriasis, but it doesn't flare up either.

Have you tried SOS Barefoot shampoo?

SLS free worked amazing for me after years of trying different things, but before then I used to find the JASON dandruff shampoo really good for calming things down.

I know you don't want medicated but I use Tgel once a week and it keeps my scalp in check. I actually quite like the smell now....

I use my normal nice stuff in between but if I don't use the medicated stuff every few washes then my scalp gets so itchy and flaky. This totally solves it though.

Tresemme Naturals, the conditioner in particular is very soothing on my scalp.

Try switching to SLS-free shampoo. Not a complete cure for me but a vast improvement

Sebamed shampoo is good and it smells nice. You can get it in savers.

Moogoo.

Their shampoo and conditioner is amazing on psoriasis and itchy scratchy scalps.

No SLS no silicone no parabens or any of those other things that irritate the skin

Ok so moogoo was bloody awful for me! I couldn't even massage the shampoo in my hair it was sooo tangled, was better once used the conditioner but my scalp was really itchy and flaky with these products and hair very static!

Not tried faith in nature but have heard they aren't as gentle as they claim?

Tresemme is a no no all of the range!

T-gel makes my hair so horrible.

Not tried barefoot, have heard good things but its £££ Sad

I'm currently trying allergenics shamp from Holland and barratt but still itchy and flaky, only been 3 washes though and struggle with what conditioner as most shamps for scalp issues don't have a bloody matching cond!!

Have you tried aveeno skin relief soothing shampoo? Ds developed what looked like cradle cap - at age 6 - and this sorted it a treat.

Philip Kingsley didn't work for me either. Have you tried Eucerin urea shampoo? I really like it, and it makes my hair really soft (I never use conditioner).

Try the scalp cream from Moogoo? And reverse conditioner and shampoo?

It took maybe three washes before I got my best results from Moogoo, and it is the only one that doesn't irritate my scalp.

Have you tried Salcura? It sorted my DDs itchy, flaky scalp out brilliantly.

Redken scalp relief soothing shampoo is lovely. I just use conditioner in the end if my hair so I worry less about conditioner but use a honey and oatmeal one from Toni and guy
