Or did you all tear into it a week ago, as soon as you got it home?

Soooo....Philip Kingsley Elasticizer was in Box 1 - anyone tried it before? Sounds like a task for the weekend.

CallingAllEmergencyKittens Tue 01-Dec-15 08:46:38

Hello CointreauVersial .Well, alarm was set for 7.30 but got up at 5.45 like a kid at Xmas to open mine.

Looked into Elasticizer before and love the fact it was invented for Audrey Hepburn to help her hair withstand the rigours of film sets. But never took the plunge so now stoked to have a sample to try.

I am sitting on my hands until DD gets home from school.
I shouldn't have clicked on the thread - you were a bit quick off the mark with the spoiler santawink

I'm in! Excited about the elacticizer, about to try. Although I tried it once before and thought it made my hair very heavy?

BugritAndTidyup Tue 01-Dec-15 09:12:06

Marking this thread to watch as I am also envy but would like to know what you all get.

GoneAndDone Tue 01-Dec-15 09:16:31

I thought it sounded like a lot of hard work to wet hair first and then wait for 20 minutes... I wanted the first box to be an instant gratification item. grin

superbfairywren Tue 01-Dec-15 10:53:37

Yep, I was hoping for something I could use today. Am not going to have time to use the elasticizer probably until the weekend now as its DDs birthday today and have a busy week. But.. Enjoyed opening a present none the less. I'm really having to reign myself in so I don't just open them all now!!

CointreauVersial Tue 01-Dec-15 12:52:25

Ah, Chippy, sorry about the spoiler! I assumed you'd open the box then open the thread.

I deliberately didn't try to find out the contents beforehand. M&S in Kingston has a big display with everything laid out, and I firmly shut my eyes as I walked past.

DD1 (14) is considering a mutiny, as she only has chocolate in hers. I've told her a few cast-offs may just come her way if she's lucky

ChippyMinton Tue 01-Dec-15 13:34:27

That's what I should've done!
DD is nearly 12, she's excited to nab some stuff, and we might set some aside to put in the Christmas crackers if neither of us want it.

SheHasAWildHeart Tue 01-Dec-15 15:20:48

The Elasticizer is great (and expensive!)

SheHasAWildHeart Tue 01-Dec-15 15:21:39

The Advent Calendar is sold out online and there are no M&S stores near me. Out of interest how much did it cost?

superbfairywren Tue 01-Dec-15 15:58:39

It was 25pounds when you spend 25pounds on beauty.

gonegrey56 Tue 01-Dec-15 15:59:30

It cost£25 , so about £1 per item . Great value .

MuchasSmoochas Tue 01-Dec-15 18:56:13

Tried it today, really liked it. Don't put too much on as it's very heavy.

GoneAndDone Wed 02-Dec-15 08:25:05

The cuticle cream today looks good, I like Burts Bees in general. Going to try it soon.

LexLoofah Wed 02-Dec-15 09:27:21

I did the overnight elasticizer treatment, hair much more body and bounce today, but it is a bit of a faff so will keep for special occasions rather than general use. I like the cuticle cream, smells lovely, could spread it on toast. I agree though that they are odd choices for the 1st two days. Still think it is good value and will be great to try new things and have some travel sized stuff. Would have loved the net a porter or Charlotte Tilbury box but this is much more affordable.

CointreauVersial Wed 02-Dec-15 13:05:33

Hmm....don't know about the cuticle cream - need to read up on it, I think. But judging by the ingredients it will be a really nice nail treatment to put on at night. Smells divine, for sure.

MuchasSmoochas Wed 02-Dec-15 20:50:05

Not as keen today. I've never creamed my cuticles in my life and am not starting now. But a nice little thing to have for stocking fillers I suppose.

KateSpadeAddict Wed 02-Dec-15 20:54:10

Feeling jealous reading this! envy I can’t complain too much seeing as I have an Arran Aromatics one grin

For what it is worth Muchas cuticle cream is awesome to use for gently pushing cuticles back to make painting your nails neater/your nails look longer smile

BabyGanoush Wed 02-Dec-15 20:56:31

cuticle cream grin
whatever next!

lelf79 Wed 02-Dec-15 22:06:03

Help! I can't seem to get my tin of cuticle cream to open confused what am i doing wrong?!!

CointreauVersial Wed 02-Dec-15 22:20:56

grin grin Maybe you need stronger nails, lelf. I know a miracle cuticle cream which might help.....

Actually, the reviews are quite good for this one; very good for moisturising. I think I'll keep it in my bedside drawer for night-time use.

GoneAndDone Wed 02-Dec-15 22:25:45

You've taken the plastic wrap off the tin to open, right, lelf?
