That will flatter a 5'3 on-the-way-to-past-it mum? I can't find the threads. Love musto, Henri l, etc.

I can't wait til it gets cold enough for my Jack Wolfskin Iceguard. In spite of advertising, it is waterproof and washable (confirmed by label)

Ooh just found the old thread, but I always like a new one! The Jack Wolfskin coats I see have up to 50% off....
Really want it to be flattering too, and not look too much like little person in giant coat.

Thanks for starting this thread - I have been trawling the 'net for the perfect, waterproof (with a hood that stays up), stylish school run/work coat!
I need one for both the cool autumn/spring weather plus another for the depths of winter.

I wish there was somewhere that would stock all the permutations of all the brands so I could try them on - it's all a bit mind boggling Confused

I'm looking at a Jack Wolfskin fleece jacket in the sale - what is their sizing like? I'm an 18 but quite large in the boobage dept. A good fit is a fine balance.

Chic - where's the 50% off??? I might buy another I'm 5ft2, and the Iceguard comes to just above my knees. It's really warm but a slim enough fit, so I don't feel (or I hope look) like the Michelin man in it. It's got an adjustable waist toggle thing that you pull from inside the pockets, so you can fit it reasonably well. The hood is great too.

Lovelyfriend, I have a Jack Wolfskin coat rather than a fleece, but I'm a size 10 with big boobs and got a 10/sm which fits me perfectly.

I've bought a Didriksons Mary coat for this winter. It is half price on Viking Kids. I stalked it for 6 months, as £200 was a bit steep.

Ooh Prima a fab reduction!! Just ordered the grey and will see how it is. Love the Wolfskin ice guard, is the properly tipping-it-down waterproof and does the hood stay put?!

I wore it in rain and snow last year and although the coat got wet, I didn't. And it dried in a couple of hours hanging next to a rad. Hood definitely stays put. It has snappers and a cord you can pull to shorten and tighten it I should be on commission here

I love my sea salt coat, it is just so waterproof, long and cosy.

I have the north Face arctic parka and love it. It's like wearing a duvet. When it's warmer I have a knee length Boden Mac which is fleece lined.

I really liked my Joules coat from last year. Wore it out in a rainstorm, only the coat got soaked.

Bought mine last year - warm and waterproof, brilliant hood, doesn't look enormous. Sheds a few feathers but other than that completely amazing!

Thanks PrimalLass for the Viking Kids link, just found the perfect rain coat on there - have been hunting for about five years for a long line waterproof!
