My baby definitely isn’t a newborn now but I’m hanging around as his sleep still isn’t great!

How old is everyone’s baby?
DD is 4 weeks on Saturday

I have a dd who is 5 years old. She’s a perfect sleeper 👌
But my ds is 9 weeks old and not so great at sleeping!

Hello nono Smile

How is everyone doing? I'm exhausted after last night but have enjoyed the day curled up on couch with ds asleep koala hugging my belly. Just binging on greys anatomy until i got to a childbirth episode and cried my eyeballs out. Bloody hormones. Bloody crappy birth experience. gives ds a giant squeeze all better

Report
HashtagTired · 09/11/2017 16:25

Awww Jelly, hormones and tiredness is a disaster combination for keeping hold of emotions. Glad you had a restful day after last night. And greys is great! I’ve been watching designated survivor on Netflix but all up to date now.

Hello Nono! You’re very welcome to join us!

Hi NoNo 😊

We have had a lazy day too. I have acquired a cold (immune system must be down due to lack of sleep!) so apart from a 40 min walk while DS napped in the sling we have been at home. Dreading tonight after last night's antics at 2am 🙈

Another lazy day here too! Me and my DS Dexter who is 4 weeks old just woke up from a nap too. Weirdly felt so tired today even though he actually slept pretty well last night, apart from my phantom feed that neither DP or I have any recollection of. Spent the rest of the day on the sofa and haven’t even changed out of my pajamas Grin

oh yay new thread!

my DS is 6 weeks tommorrow. been a terrible sleeper although only really because he wants feeding constantly. had best night yet last night. only 3 night feeds. and today I feel more tired than ever!!

Helloooo

Crap night last night...
Managed to go shopping with only 1 meltdown on way back due to overtiredness.
I have been looking forward to taking DD to a play group (more for me than her), but the thought of making it there for 9am is making me even more tired than I already am.

Why is she such a crap sleeper? Hmm

I’ve had the busiest of days today. Just got in!
Did the school run before 9am then drove me and da to my work as they wanted cuddles (with ds, not me!). Then took him for a short swim before popping into town to get a few things and to get my GHDs fixed again 🙄. Then pick up dd from school to take her to swimming lessons and a lazy evening with her playing in soft play and me ordering dinner! Saves cooking! 👍🏻
But I’m ready for bed now. Doing my last feed before handing ds to dh and going to bed. Ds will join me at midnight for night feeding antics! But tomorrow is a chill out day.

Hello all! My DS was 5 weeks on Tuesday.
We actually had a not too bad last night so we’ll see what happens tonight! Had health visitor today and I just bombarded her with questions around his lack of sleep/constant feeding....she just smiled and nodded and was like ‘what else did you expect!’ I think I needed that reassurance 😂

Hi, I'm new 😀

I have a DS aged 3 who sleeps perfectly and an eight week old DS who doesn't! He was in NICU for two weeks after surgery and one of the side effects of his surgery was very bad reflux 🙈

He hardly ever settles and is super clingy. Trying to power through but it is tiring!

Hello newbies and welcome! I know exactly what you mean my hv all but rolled her eyes at me and my shabby unslept face lol. First time mum syndrome!

Has anyone tried mimjumi bottles for boob monsters?
My DD has started actively hating Lansinoh. We've also tried Medela Calma- no luck.

Hi newbies!
Rockandrollwithit My dd was also super clingy. It does get better though. I can now put her down for a bit in the pram or her bouncy chair. All naps on me still, of course!
The first few weeks were horrid though!

@AMagdalena I’ve just ordered some Minbie teats to try. Baby hasn’t had a bottle yet (nearly 16 weeks) so I’m hoping he’ll take to these ones. I’ll let you know!

Rockandrollwithit · 09/11/2017 20:19

AMagdalena, how old is your DD?

DS had his first injections today so the clinging is even more extreme than usual! He won't settle with DH so I am making DH do all the housework this evening whilst I sit and rock/tap/pat.

Report
AMagdalena · 09/11/2017 20:23

@Lallypop
Thanks! Do let me know if you have any luck with the teats. I would love to be able to go out for 3 hours without DD having a total meltdown.

@Rockandroll She's 14 weeks.
I started noticing a change around 9 weeks.
Now I can stop hallucinating in the shower that she's screaming for me haha!
She wouldn't even let DH hold her.
