I love looking on Rightmove for random stuff mainly tiny London flats.

Well I found this interesting bed
This teeny tiny flat

What stuff have you found?

Why would you have that bed if it's your only furniture? Do you think they think it's less beddy than a bed?

Wtf is that second one...

Less than 100sq ft Shock
That is smaller than the teeniest hotel room I've seen
And it isn't even particularly cheap for the area

Wow,

That second one is about the size of my bathroom but my whole house prob isn't quite worth the same!

Good point Spare. You wouldn't entertain booking into a hotel that small would you.

Good grief! That second one is smaller than my bedroom and costs more than my entire house!

Oh please tell me there's a jacuzzi under that bed

Blimey. My caravan is bigger than that second one!

The street name in the first property could almost be pronounced 'make room' road!

I like the Battersea one.

The first one looks like a fairly ok studio flat but 😮😮😮😮😮 at the price. The second one, well I just can't get my head around why would anyone with access to £300,000 would buy that.

I'm sure that Pimlico flat keeps popping on and off the market. I work close to St James tube and was poking around seeing if I could ever afford to move the family to that neighbourhood. Saw that flat and chuckled my head off.

I don't understand the layout of the Battersea flat. Surely it's a one bed flat rather than a studio?

Report
Donatellalymanmoss · 10/01/2016 23:07

That is rather lovely but to spend £1 million and end up with what is basically a bunk bed rather than a separate bedroom can't feel like value for money.

the battersea bedroom has no window so it is pretty much a studio

i think a winter garden is a balcony with only windows so a bit more like a conservatory

Pipbin · 10/01/2016 23:10

If a room doesn't have a window it can't be called a bedroom.
Looking at the floor plan the walls of the sleeping area fold back.

The bed is both fugly and a really bad use of space. Where they trying to present it as part of a swinging lifestyle, do you think?

As for winter garden - concrete sculptures, maybe?

Looking at the second one, my first thought was, where's the rest of it?! Whoa!

Report
MrSlant · 10/01/2016 23:13

Umm is the bathroom off the kitchen? Aren't there rules about that sort of thing?

Plus the one with the 'winter garden' doesn't match it's floor plan Grin.

Pipbin · 10/01/2016 23:14

Nope Mr Slant. I've lived in loads of houses with a bathroom off the kitchen.
There used to be a law that you had to have two doors between a toilet and a kitchen but not anymore I believe.

The battersea flat photos are being used to sell the studios and the £6m pound townhouses!!

Do you need access to an exit that isn't through a kitchen?

Report
Pipbin · 10/01/2016 23:19

No. I've lived in lots of houses with bathrooms off the kitchen. Very normal round here.
