Standard internal door sizes. What are they?

We are having the kitchen/diner knocked through to the living room, and also the main doorway into the kitchen moved slightly further along one wall.
We don't want doors fitted (yet), and see how we get on without any and perhaps put doors in to sell the house.
But I need to tell my builder how big to make the doorways (rather quickly!)

One will be a large double door size (not sliding) (perhaps just over 2 metres)
One will be slightly larger than a single door (perhaps 1.5 metres)

Does anyone know what the standard internal door sizes are? I presume they come in increments.

I think 30 inches is standard, and 27 common, and 24 less common.

30" most common. 32" and 28" less common.

36" and 24" obtainable but very uncommon

They are now sold in metric sizes. You will find the sizes in mm look very odd numbers, until you convert them to inches.

Measure your others and get one the same. Also measure the height.

you had better have the door linings fitted by your builder, even if you don't fit the doors yet.

You might call them doorframes which are actually something different. They must be the correct size for the thickness of the wall as well as the height and width of the intended door. Ask him to leave the screw heads visible in case the door fitter complains and has to adjust them.
