Old school have a duty of care and they're making sure you're ok. But having said that, the duty of care has really passed to your new local authority now.

What have the local authority said about the fact that no places have been offered? Have you also spoken to the new school?

Have you actually taken your daughter off roll at the old school? Just tell them they need to update their Parentmail/whatever if so.

And you should be hassling your new authority - have they really not offered you anything, or are you waiting for the school you want and have turned down a place somewhere else?

This is about safeguarding. The current school has a duty of care to not remove the child from the register until they have a new school address and can send on the pupil file.
Obviously as they know you have moved they are anxious to discharge their responsibility and then be able to offer the place to someone on the waiting list.
You do need to be pushing the new LA to find you places for your two children.

The roll...not the payroll. You just need to call your old school and tell them they don't need to call you or text you anymore.

With regards to the new school, definitely ring and KEEP ringing. THey may be busy but you need a school so it's ok to call daily in my opinion.
