I'm 4w5d and wondered if anyone else fancied joining me on the amazing journey to come?
First, second, third or fourth (or more!!) timers welcome!

This will be #1 after a long 18 months of miscarriages, infertility and heartache but i'm feeling super positive about this one and ready to enjoy the next few months!

Anyone just found out they're preggers and want some buddies?

Hey. Congratulations!!
I'm 4 weeks 5 days as well! Also with my first. I've been trying for a year. Been diagnosed with PCOS so it took me a while. So excited but nervous x

Nice to have you along. I think nerves are normal. I've gone into a kind of super natural 'it's all going to be amazing' zone!! I think it's helping.

How are you finding it? Anything cropped up yet? I already have morning sickness which is just charming....

Morning sickness is false advertising lol I feel nauseous most of the time but thankfully no vomiting yet. I didn't expect it this early did you?

Lauralou031986 you must be so excited. Have you had a scan yet?

X

@1stX Yes i know. All freaking day. It's weird how it comes and goes in waves as well! Currently have only done small odd little voms in my mouth but i figure it's going to hit me hard next week or the week after. It's like being sea sick. All the time!! Are you being scanned before 12 weeks?

@lauralou031986 Welcome!

@CL1982
I don't really know how it works. Not spoken to a midwife yet. Went to the Drs for something unrelated and mentioned it and she said I had to self refer but there was no rush as they won't see me until I'm 10 weeks anyway. Going to do the form at weekend. How about you?

Hi Nat199082- congrats Flowers

@1stX As I have had a few mcs why're scanning me at 6 weeks. So we have a scan booked in 2 weeks. I'll be nearly 7 weeks so hoping we get a good view and heart beat!

Do you need to fill in a form? I literally have no idea!

I do. I don't know if each maternity unit is different. It should say on your local hospitals website. It Sound like they're looking after you though. I'm sure they'll tell you everything you need to do when you go for your scan.

Congratulations on your BFPs ladies.

Hoping this is helpful rather than aggressive! In the "becoming a parent" section, there is a forum called "ante natal clubs" and someone has already started a March 2018 one so if you introduce yourselves there, you will find more ladies in the same stages as you.

Hey ladies Can I join?

Found out on Friday I got my BFP! I think im now currently 4 weeks and 3 days or 4 days not 100% sure (my cycles were erratic and long so basing this on when i got my CB peak)

This is my first after 12 months TTC. phoned my GP as i dont really know what to do after you get a BFP! they said I dont need to make an appintment just hand in a urine sample to confirm it then its the midwife who contacts me, is this the same experience as everyone else?

Also I agree about the nausea! I thought i was imagining it since im so early but nope every single morning im sooo nauseated no actual vomitting yet ( hope it stays away!)

@kittykat73 it's weird isn't it how you spend all this time trying to get pregnant and then when you are pregnant you don't know what to do!! Congrats on the BFP :)

CL1982 haha yes! I could tell you everything about TTC but nothing about pregnancy! I have a few friends who have gave birth recently but dont want to tell anyone I dont need to until im after 3 months to be safe so feel like google is helping me along. Thank god for these boards to chat to other people on the same boat Grin

@kittykat73 we have decided to keep this really low key and not tell my folks until after the 12 weeks scan. Obviously we didn't take account of my mum. As i've been so open about it it's so obvious that i'm hiding something from her!! It isn't personal i just don't want her to be disappointed. My dad actually cried last MC. It was AWFUL!! I just feel bad for them hence radio silence. But the woman isn't thick...trying to fudge the medical details for all its worth.
"Are you on the clomid again?"
"Muh, urm skipping a month and oh look a bird!"

May I join too? Edd 1 March next year. I have had one before but we lost her as she was born too soon (at 20 weeks). Nervous times- but we are taking each day as it comes. Can't believe we have a line (on 3 different brands of frer ....)

Report
blueobsessive · 29/06/2017 18:13

Actually can we keep this group- I know there are ante natal groups on here but this one seems to be full of people (who might or might not also have a 1982 birth year :) who have been at the ttc malarkey a goodly long while and have seen dark times too. Flowersfor all your lost ones too.

I can help with the what happens but. Hi either self refer to your hospital or get referred through your gp. The usual checking in appointment isn't until 10 -11 weeks with first scan at 12.

However if you have bleeding/ concerning things you can go to an epagu (early pregnancy and acute gynae) and seek to be seen (and sometimes scanned) early. Out of hours entry is through a&me I'm afraid (until about 18 weeks when the maternity lot take over).

Due to my history, my discharge from last time says I'm to be seen within 7 weeks. I'll report back if that works...

@blueobsessive of course we can :) v happy to.

One of the GPS at my surgery (who was vile) claimed she was referring me to the EPU as the consultant wants me scanned every few weeks but in the end I just rang them and they popped me in for 2 weeks time when I'll be almost 7 weeks. 🙄

Thanks for the hour out on losses. Urgh they suck. Have such a great feeling about this one though. I have got a sticker I'm sure Grin

So will they see you at 6 weeks too?

Can I join too?! I'm 5 weeks 4 days, due 25 Feb. Have a DS who is 3, had v early mc last sept and have been trying every since so super happy to finally get my bfp, but also a bit scared given last time. I had a v small bit of blood the other day, v v small but I've referred myself or the EPU for a scan next Friday, so just waiting it out until then.. pretty certain it's all ok, but hate this stage before symptoms kick in.. though I'll be moaning lots about them when they start I'm sure! Congratulations everyone!

Hello! I'd LOVE to join in please! I'm 4weeks 1 day, been TTC almost 2 years and finally got pregnant through a 2nd IUI treatment (all hail the nhs).

I just can't believe it, at all. And I'm terrified now that something is going to go wrong. If it doesn't baby could make an appearance around 8 March.

Symptoms wise - already super strong aversion to smells and feeling sick with icky ones, plus I actually was sick the other day after a big fatty meal (indigestion then vomiting blurgh). I guess at least the symptoms make it clear what's going on! Got an early scan on 13 July to see if things look okay.

CL82 That's precisely how I'm being with my mum right now :)

Excellent. Glad I'm not the only one with phone typos @cl1984. Welcome boop and Leanne. We almost all seem to have taken the rocky road. Fingers crossed for us all (and recharging of all of our reserves of grit).

Not sure how it will work with the early scanning. I have a feeling the best route may be directly to epagu (ours takes self referrals/ drop ins). You never know, an appointment letter may arrive...
