I'm feeling virtuous tea-wise as I'm having home made carrot & leek soup. It's supposed to be carrot and coriander but I had no coriander. It's a bit bland.

I gave H some chunks of carrot and leek. He had a little play and launched a brief attack on a carrot but couldn't be bothered after that. I spoon fed him a little bit of the soup when I'd blended it up and he was quite interested but not too sure about the texture I don't think.

H doesn't seem ready for BLW - can only sit for a few seconds, still has tongue thrust reflex and can't get the food to his mouth very well. I've been offering him something once or twice a day but he's not really bothered. He does best when my Dad & step-mum are here and we all sit around the table - H sits on my knee and has fun grabbing stuff off my plate - but he's less interested when it's just me... I obviously don't make an engaging dinner companion! Patience is the name of the game I guess.

hello.....

Am feeling better but am a bit weak. Before I became ill DS2 tried to eat my cheese sarnie but I whipped away from him. Too many seeds for a little one I think. I still want to wait until 6 months though, I don't think it was food he wanted, I think it was just something in his mouth.

Hi all,

This is first time I've looked at the Post-Natal Club threads.

Is this a thread for babies born in May this year? Wasn't sure as it talks more about cocktails! (Which is great imo as some of them sound lovely!) But just wondered what it was about really as DD was born in May and didn't know if this was something about the DC or just chit-chat really!

Thanks

llare Hope you're feeling better soon.

spangle He'll get there. As long as he's happy with what he's having now, that's what's important. I bet one of these days it'll click with him and he'll start gobbling things up.

C keeps grabbing at stuff on our plate, but only because she's nosy. She just likes grabbing at things in general, practicing those little hands I think. DH gave her a green bean to hold today, but she just dropped it on the floor. I let him, because I knew she wouldn't do anything with it.

I got DH's suit + some lovely shoes for myself. I need sensible shoes though and bought some heels , also bought myself a few long sleeved tops. I did need some, because I had a choice of a black v-neck or 2 black roll neck jumpers or a purlple roll neck jumper . I think it's because before I got pregnant I wore dresses half the time, so most my tops were plain to wear underneath a dress.

Right. I'm off to watch a little bit more of Criminal Justice.

texas hello! Yes, it's a thread for babies born in May (tho mine misread his instructions and turned up on 1 April). It's mostly talk about the babies, believe it or not, but because we've been 'together' for a while there's a fair amount of chit-chat thrown in. You're very welcome to join us

Is your DD your first?
