you changed thread while I was posted naughty Katy

hi pinions - wow 5 stone well done

routine??????? I have just asked that question to a March twin mummy for some ideas - daytime naps at home are difficult

5.45am Jack in my bed, 6.15am James in my bed, 6.30am dh out of my bed to work - give me girls any day (only joking) Erin up at 7.15am - girl after my own heart

It is my bed cos I chose it, wash the bedding and make it and occasionally allow others to sleep in it

I have Nelsons teething powder

glad you had a good w/e pesha & ellie

mummy pop is great - shame I can't drink it during the day - no things aren't that bad

I just posted this on the old thread too!

And cant remember who but someone said they never fit the profile for surveys, I do ipsos (?) surveys and never seem to fit their profiles but with Yougov they dont do that, all surveys are for everyone.

Here's the link for Yougov Surveys again if anyone else is interested. I get extra credits if you join from this link!!

weaning i am very crap and have forgotten to do this, I told oooggs i'd either scan and email or photocopy and post, but have done neither I'm gonna summarise below what my chart thingy says, hope it makes sense

This is from a guide produce when dd was at weaning age so 3 years ago, so starts at 4 months. Will just do the whole thing

from 4 months - 5 x 7oz milk, on one feed suggests some baby rice

4-5 months - 5 x 7oz milk feeds + two feeds of approx 125g(ie a small jar size)

5-7 months - 8 oz feed in the morning & evening, breakfast of 125g+7 oz milk, lunch 2 x 125g + some water or pure baby juice, dinner of 2 x
125g + 7oz milk

7-9 months - 7oz milk in morning, breakfast of 125g + toast/banana & wtare or juice, lunch, 190g(the bigger jars) + 125g + water or juice,
dinner 190g + 125g + 7oz milk, evening 7oz milk

9-12 months - the same as 7-9months accept they can have differnet foods IYSWIM

I also have these guidelines given to me by SIL for what foods they can eat at what age, BUT these are a fair few years old as her ds's are 8 & 9 Might still help though so here it is:

4-5 months - potatoes/carrots/swede/turnip/cauliflower/chicken/lamb/white fish(incl fishfingers with breadcrumbs removed)/stewed apples or
pears, obviously all mashed to within an inch of their lives
5 months - plain yoghurt/weetabix/porridge/readybrek/mashed banana

no sugar or salt should be added to any of the above

6 months - sandwiches(marmite/cheese spread thinly spread)/custard(no sugar)/jelly/plain biscuits/green veg

7 months - no extras mentioned

8 months - cheese/pasta/baked beans/bacon/pork

Not sure how much help that lot'll be but it may help It did for me with dd, am a bit slow with ds

Hi all. Am bored!

B is on afternoons at school for the next 4 weeks, and it is a pita.

Feel like we are hanging around waiting for school. Don't feel like doing too much in the mornings either as I don't want to tire her out for big school.

The she is at school for 2 1/2 hours and then back again. It is ridiculous and mucks up the day. Have to wake K up from her nap as well which is a pain as she rarely drops back off again.

Sorry, rant over.

SPB, hope T is ok. Really wearing when they are grizzly.

Pesha, great you had a good w/end.

Eddas, thanks for the weaning notes.

MMK, your posts make me lol - really amusing.

Right, sorry for self absorbed post. Need to head to school.

See you later lovelies. xx

Hello, Monday again, another week closer to going back to work .

Pinions - 5 stone? Wow, much respect. Please post some Before and After photos, would love to see!

Katy - glad T has returned to his normal happy self.

Has been interesting reading about your various routines (or non-routines), and also Eddas's guide to feeds/weaning. Am quite relieved as it seems I am giving S the 'right' amount of milk/food for her age! We have a rough routine which flexes slightly when we are out and about, but which seems to work for us. Am slightly dreading introducing a 'solid' feed at breakfast time though as it's already bad enough trying to get S, E and me clean, dressed, fed and out of the door by 8.30am for the school run.

Have just popped into work to see everyone, catch up on all the gossip and finalise my dates. Nice to see everyone, but I know January is going to gallop towards us at a rapid speed and my lovely period of time with S will be over. . Sigh.

SOL, yes the half days are a complete pain. I think (IMHO) that the children find them pretty disruptive too. I know that last year Em had to come home after lunch, whilst the older ones in her class stayed all day, and she got really upset about leaving (she really wanted to stay all day). Sometimes it might be better to give the parents a bit of choice about timings so that they could let their DCs stay all day if they felt it was appropriate for their child.

Hey ladies;

Quiet day here, C up at 3am, didnt go back down til 5 then back up at 6...... so we will now be starting GF/Baby whisperer type thing - he is getting too used to waking up at that time, and then going into spare bed with mummy and spending the rest of the night feeding. It wasnt too bad when he was waking at 5, b4t 3 is just silly - its a bad habit to be gettting in to.

Got quite a busy week planned - going to see Lucewheel tomorrow, waterbabies on wednesday then a sling meet with WO on thursday!!! Will keep me out of mischief anyways!!!

Love the pics of J&D!!!

Afternoon all

We are on half days at school - its maddening!

I have no idea what/when/how much ernie eats - maybe should keep a record Just feed him either milk or food when think he is hungry! He def has 3 meals a day and kind of in line with what eddas posted but haven't introduced any meat or fish yet. He is sleeping through now with a dream feed which is great but his milk intake has dropped alot as a result I am thinking about looking into blw for the next stage - was kind of planning to mash/puree/chop what we have from 6/7 months tbh. Have found a salt free gravy which should make things like cottage pie and roast okay for him

Ah he has just woken up - milky time!

oooggs · 24/09/2007 13:24

hi octo - where did you find the salt free gravy??????
