Looking forward to sharing news of our babies as they reach their first milestones and grow into little people.

Thanks @zampa, definitely nice to keep the group going. I noticed a November 2018 babies thread was set up the other day, can't believe it's been a year since we were all getting preggo!

Freddie is full of smiles and is sooo ticklish, we tickle him a lot to make him giggle. He's a nightmare to feed at the moment because he's so distracted by everything. We've started putting him to bed at 7.30pm and actually having a bit of an evening (where we watch crap TV, eat chocolate and occasionally grunt at each other).

Here's a pic of Freddie doing tummy time. He actually doesn't mind it but he can roll over when he's had enough!

Whilst setting this group up, I noticed some active postnatal groups for babies born in 2014! Imagine as still chatting whilst the babies are starting school!

Thanks for the new thread @Zampa

Iris is doing well. She's still sleeping well at night & we've finally cracked naps in the day. She'll happily do an hour if she's in her crib but longer if we're out & about & she's in the pram.

She's growing fast. She's almost grown out of her crib & pram top. Not ready for to move into her own room yet but I've probably only got another week or two before she'll have outgrown the crib completely. We're having to use size 4 nappies at night as 3 keeps leaking. I had to get some 6-9 month baby gros as she's almost out of 3-6 as she's so long & has such big feet! I really need to measure & weigh her & see where she's tracking.

Aw both Freddie and Iris are so gorgeous! Wow can’t believe Iris is in 6 months clothes! I squeezed Tills in to a 1 month one today but she then promptly vomited all down it which I think is a sign it has to go lol.
Ah that would be lovely @Zampa :) hopefully we are!
How was it a year ago?? I looked at one of our old threads the other day with all our 12 week scans, feels like a lifetime ago but also it has just passed in a flash. Crazy. X

Thanks for the new thread @Zampa

Here is Bea, finally doing doing tummy time without having a massive rage.

I hope we all do stay in touch!

Oh she's so cute sock!

So...I have a question. How do you all get your babies to fall asleep? We're lucky that Fred generally sleeps well but if he does wake up (which is happening a bit more - bastard 4 month sleep regression!) at night or after 40 mins for naps, I don't really have a way of getting him back to sleep and it's taking me ages. We definitely haven't cracked self soothing yet! Do you feed, rock or something else? Ideally I need a way of getting him to sleep that doesn't involve getting him out of his bed and rocking him because he often wakes again when I put him back down?

@butterybollocks thank you! I'm enjoying looking at all the lovely baby pictures!

To get Bea to sleep at night time we use a Tomy projector, it plays music too. We normally put it on twice and she goes to sleep. I'm dreading the sleep regression happening.

We struggle with day time naps, she only sleeps for around 30 mins. I thought babies were supposed to have longer naps.

Hello! We have had a bad cold with Liliana this wk so staying indoors but sad to miss our swimming lesson today. Mind you the roads are like an ice rink! Reflux still an issue but on max dose medication trying to get it under control. I want a few weeks of sleep being 'normal' ie no cold and less reflux before we think about moving her in to her cot in nursery, but she is rapidly going to outgrow the next2me next to my bed!! I will miss the inconvenience of that!

Ahhhh such gorgeous babies!

We are in the feed to sleep camp, I've tried patting & shushing which has worked a couple of times, but I think 80% of the time it's feed to sleep, hold for half hour then into the cot! This is at night time, for naps it used to be the same routine, but the last couple weeks she's either refused to nap at all (horrific - turned into baby from hell from 4-6 because she was so knackered) she's now napping again, but only on me 😖 the minute I try to put her down she cries, but then instantly goes back to sleep on my shoulder when I pick her up!

We'll get there! We did have one magic moment where she self settled, in the cot after I put her in it to go deal with the food delivery last week, but hasn't happened since!

We have lots of talking going on.. including whilst I was trying to breastfeed in public for the first time yesterday, she decided that actually no, she wasn't hungry, she fancied a 10 minute conversation with my boob instead. Oh well!

She's managed to roll front to back maybe 3 times, no movement on back to front, & I'm not convinced the front to back was on purpose, she looked very shocked each time! Grin

She'll be 13 weeks on Saturday, shows no interest in grasping toys/rattles etc but loves feeling her feet, so she likes being held standing up, and when awake has to be as upright as possible because she's so nosy!

@Hazandduck also clueless but going to a weaning talk tomorrow at local children's centre. I think we are meant to start weaning before 6 months due to reflux but hope to find out tomorrow then will ask to see health visitor about it

That’s what people have said to me, give her baby rice and she will keep more milk down! Her reflux is just awful even on gaviscon. She is gaining weight and happy though so I think I only have a matter of weeks really to wait before I can give her some solids xx do let me know how you get on and if you pick up any tips! X

Oh @womble I’ve had the miraculous self soothe sleep happen once or twice when I’ve popped out of the room but I usually have to either feed her, dummy, or rock her to sleep and early evenings/dinnertime have become particularly hard, she just screams now when she’s tired. We are going out for dinner tomorrow night and my FIL is having her, I’m a bit nervous that she will scream for him as it is her prime meltdown time! X

@Hazandduck I will do. If gaviscon isn't working (it stopped working for Liliana) then go back to doctor and demand ranitidine. It really made a difference to us xx

Ah ok I will do thank you! I had only gone in about a cough but when the GP saw Tills be sick she said straightaway “I’m prescribing you gaviscon, my girls had reflux like that.” She’s a lovely GP who always coos over Matilda so I’m sure she would be helpful if I go back. Thank you for recommending! Xx

Are you all snowed in? It looks like Artic from my windows!

Bea hadn't got to grips with rolling yet, the health visitor has told me not to worry as being in harness then out of it (before she goes back in) means she doesn't understand how her muscles work.

I'm going to start weaning once Bea can sit up unsupported for a while, I will be feeding in a high chair but feel she needs to be able to hold herself up.

I hope her reflux will be solved when we wean her.

@DiscombobulatedWomble we have the same play gym as you. We have had it since the day she was born and only today I discovers that the fish vibrates 😱

Oh @Durez I have skiing envy! Whereabouts are you? All this snow is giving me ski lust, bad. Hope you’re having fun and not missing the babes too much. And totally agree, we’ve all been on an amazing journey together, long may it continue :)

@Sock DH was stupid and didn’t leave early like the rest of the country, currently in standstill traffic. I hate him driving in this weather, makes me panicky. It’s so beautiful though isn’t it. Have you been out with Bea to play? I’ve not braved it yet but hoping to tomorrow. We are in the South so totally not prepared for or used to this climate 😂
