After effects from injections?

Hi guys, my daughter (8 weeks old) had her immunizations Tuesday morning and ever since then she won't settle unless she's being held. Not to exaggerate but straight after I got her home from her injections she constantly cries and screams if you lie her down anywhere that isn't on you.

I check that she doesn't need a new nappy, she's been fed and winded, has her dummy to soothe her but the moment she's out of someone's arms (even fast asleep) she's alert and crying until she's picked up again.

I know some people may say to let her cry it out but that doesn't work, she's usually a cuddly baby anyway but since her injections she's become so dependent on me to soothe herself. She doesn't have a fever or anything, still feeding and doing her toilet business as usual.... I dunno I feel at a loss.

Definitely don't let her cry; it's fairly common for them to be unsettled after jabs. If she needs cuddles then just provide them for the time being

They have rotavirus vaccine at 8 week imms. It can make their tummy sore for a few days. It may also have been that she was going to have a fussy few days anyway & it’s complete coincidence. I found skin to skin really helpful after all the immunisations with my children so it might be worth a try?

Thanks guys, as long as it's sort of normal for her to be like this I'll stop worrying. Hopefully she'll be back to her old self in a few more days!

The meningitis B often gives them a temperature, that and essentially giving them a D&V virus is bound to make them feel horrible. Are you using calpol?

DS had his 16 weeks ones this week and has made him really out of sorts, had the worse night he's ever had!

The injection site can also be very painful. My dd's personality and routine changed with each immunisation and she became more clingy. I'm currently going through it all again with DD2, she seems less bothered thankfully.

Took a week for my LO to get back to normal. Just give lots of snuggles.

Took my DD a week to get over her jabs, not sure if it was pain or if they just feel under the weather?
