Relocating to Southport

Hi,

We are going to be relocating to Southport later this year and will be looking to buy what we hope will be a long term family home - does anybody have any tips or useful advice about the town and the different areas (eg Churchtown, Marshside, Crossens, Kew etc)? Or any good local knowledge about things we should consider? We do like the older houses.

We are moving up from East Anglia - I am originally from Liverpool so have spent a fair bit of time in Southport, but that was over 15 years ago so I'd appreciate any up to date advice!

Generally useful Southport information also appreciated!

Hi @MovingOnUp2020 I know this is an old post now but searched and saw it as we’re relocating to Southport (Churchtown) in July from London. DF is from Liverpool but hasn’t lived there for 6 years. Would be nice to hear any tips you’ve picked up!
