Happy New Year Everyone,

I thought I would just draw your attention to the new newsletters I am sending out - I hope you found the useful.

Anyway the choice of theme is purely based on the listings on the Cumbria Site.

If you or a friend either has a business or event - however big or small I will ensure that it will get on to the newsletter, twitter and Facebook.

Is anyone a Brownie, Guide, Scout , Cubs, Rainbows etc leader we would love to have your listing and news of events.

In fact I would love to see lots of information about what is going on in lovely Cumbria so we can share it with as many people as possible.

First of all thank you for being so active on the site - it is really great to have you around.

You get the newsletter if you have selected Cumbria as your local home page you should get one to your registered email address automatically.

I'm hoping that if I keep posting others will turn up! I've been on MN 10 years and only met 2 other Cumbrians and they've both gone south now but I know there's more now.

I have been organising meetups in Kendal where there are a couple of people who have moved up to Cumbria and are also seeking other Mumsnetters. Hopefully now that the local pages are being managed eventually we will find more people. Are you from Cumbria or have you moved here from away?
