Top police intelligence whistleblower is sacked for reporting to his seniors that 7/7 has the hallmarks of state terrorism.

"Tony Farrell had been employed for twelve years as ?Principle Intelligence Analyst? for South Yorkshire Police, 13th largest of the 44 police forces in the UK. His job involved producing a yearly ?Strategic Threat Assessment Matrix? to determine how the police force had to prioritise its activities.

If the Principal Intelligence Analyst of the thirteenth largest police force in the country assesses the unreleased evidence on 7/7 and his seniors agree with his conclusions that this was a false flag, then perhaps this is worthy of intelligent people's attention.

I read the article and it sounds like 'Senior police statistician finds God, has a breakdown and starts imagining Satanic/masonic/New World Order patterns in information that aren't actually there' . His seniors won't be agreeing - guaranteed.

How does an intelligence analyst from a backwater police force get hold of all of the 7/7 data from the Met? I can't imagine the Met police can access it without very good reason so I find it very hard to believe that an analyst is allowed unrestricted access. So on that alone, I think that this is the usual conspiracy theory crap. Throw God into the mix and it just sounds completely barmy.

Also...if the government wanted to stir up public anger by deliberately sending four patriotic volunteers stuffed with explosives onto crowded tube trains and buses in order to justify invading Iraq and Afghanistan.... didn't they realise they were at least two years behind the pace? The London bombings were in 2005. Iraq war began in 2003 and we've had troops in Afghanistan since 2001.

I did wonder if the "ruler of this world" was one of those six foot lizards David Icke warns us of (sorry, I realise I'm the second person to mention him, but he springs to mind every time I come across bizarre beliefs sincerely held). Whatever, it told me what readership this website appealed to.

And loved the interview intro, from the 'Richplanet Starship', and the background looking as if they are indeed sitting above the planet. Again, designed to appeal to a certain audience. To which I do not belong.


I realise that for some people, the need for there to be a reason why bad things happen is overwhelming. And that "there's nowt as queer as folk/shit happens" does not suffice. But seriously - incompetence is usually closer to the truth than conspiracy, whichever conspiracy theory you're considering at the time.

I think Principal Intelligence Analyst is over-selling Farrell. He was employed to do a statistical analysis, not a true intelligence analysis, from what I can make out. Those two exercises are quite different, aren't they?

The article also states that Farrell used 'open source' material, i.e. material that was publicly available, so he found a lot of stuff on the internet and it blew his mind. He is not a trained investigator, and appears to have absolutely no judgment whatsoever (he apparently "alluded to secret societies and a Masonic influence as being very central"). Consequently I don't find his conversion from number cruncher to Truther remotely persuasive.

Seriously, the Blair government risked implementing a complex mass murder conspiracy (which would make the current phone hacking scandal look like a tame spat in a Post Office queue) merely to justify the support given to George Bush over the invasion of Iraq? Even assuming Blair and co were that evil (a big assumption even for me), the most cursory risk/benefit analysis on that shows it makes no sense at all.

I can tell when an OP has lost the argument (not to say the plot) and it's mostly when they start to question the intelligence of the MN contributors. Listen love, I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next woman... but this isn't a good one. That's the thing about conspiracy theories, isn't it? They are always convoluted and complicated. Anything that is 'possible', however unlikely, suddenly becomes 'proof'.

I could, for example, put the conspiracy theory around that last time I visited the dentist I was hypnotised by a secret agent working on behalf of an anti-global-warming, new world order organisation who conditioned me to behave in an anti-ecological way the next time I heard 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.... I could say that's why I reversed over the recycling boxes this morning. It's possible... but is it proof?
