Pleeease help, I can't stand the smell of fish anymore!! We left some fish over date in the fridge, it's been chucked out days ago and still everything stinks of fish. The butter, the Flora tubs, the yoghurts, everything!! Ijust had beans on toast, used the Flora and now have fishy fingers. The cats are trying to lick the keyboard as I sleep.

God knows what people think when they walk in. I have used a cut up lemon in there, NOW THE LEMON STINKS OF FISH TOO!!!! ARGGHHH.

Please help, I'm going to a party tonight and I don't want people sniffing me thinking I have no shower facilities lol Shock

Have you wiped down every single tub etc? Bicarbonate of soda absorbs smells better than lemon I think.

Nope that's DH's job to do next, I am on the sick list lol. Do you just put a whole tub in there and leave it? What's the best thing to wipe down with, diluted bicarb? Thanks

I imagine the smell is clinging to the packaging of your contents in the fridge as well as the inside of the fridge.

You will have to strip the fridge bare and wash all components in Milton and hot water.

Chuck out everything basically but if jar stuff doesn't taste of fish you could try making the lids secure and washing the outsides of the jar.

Agree with Bunny, charcoal & cut onion are also great for absorbing smell. I always leave a single charcoal in my fridge.
