Hello there,

Currently on cycle #5, trying to conveive baby number two (many years after first), and realising ttc is one of the most frustrating tasks I have embarked on.

I had a chemical pregnancy in january which has completely taken all joy out of trying because even if that BFP appears, I do not think I could bring myself to be excited about it.

That being said, there is only one way this is going to happen so on I go with the 'ahem' BD and peeing on ovulation sticks and then pregnacy tests at any given moment.

AF due 15 April, let the obsessing begin..

Oh, and is anybody else actually sick of doing the deed yet (sorry husband)?
X

Hello! AF is due on the 15th too so I feel like I have to join! 😂
This is our first month TTC so I'm not feeling very optimistic.... we'll just have to wait and see! We definitely timed it right (temps and OPK's + EWCM) so whatever happens happens!

@lottie360 I'm sorry about your chemical in January. As this is only the first month trying I don't feel too fed up (yet!) although my OH definitely feels the pressure. I asked him if he would rather not know if I was fertile or not and he said he would so we'll just have to see!

Thanks for creating this group anyway! 😁

Hi there!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you, I found the first months 2ww the worst. I'm sure I could be a fertility expert now the amount of googling I did😂.

I'm trying to hold off testing early this month, which I already know I am going to fail miserably at as I wouldn't have known about CP otherwise.

Urghhh the symptoms spotting.. well let's just say I'm ignoring all twinges this month x

Hello,

Thought I'd finally register to mumsnet after months of reading other people's posts.
I'm into another 2ww, cycle number 4 of trying. AF is due on the 11th April so pretty close to yours.
This will be our first baby.
So yer I thought it might help chatting to people in the same boat as we've not told anyone we are ttc.
I never imagined how all consuming it would be Smile

I started another thread just before you, but I think your title is better, so I will join yours :) I am in the 2ww and my AF is due the 14th...while we are on holiday! We have 2 dc already and going for a third...but the other ones are 5 and 7 so the gap is big and we have tried a few times...although only dtd once every cycle we try. The first 2 dc were conceived first try. So this is all new to me, using ovulation strips and taking my temp.

dizzy85 · 02/04/2019 11:44

Good luck everyone..hopefully this is our months. Do you all take temps? I only started using the ovulation strips this month, if it doesn't work this time I will try temping.
How many dpo is everyone? I am currently 6dpo...I did a test this morning but bfn..I know it's way too early to test but it's so hard to wait. X

HI all,

Urghhh temping. so I was advised that it would be helpfull but I don't think I'm quite at that point of desperation yet. I bought one, but after failing 3 mornings in a row, I gave up.

I am however certain, that if I get a BFN this month, I will be be in desperation mode.

I've been in such a good mood today because for the first week after ovulation, there is a chance that I may be pregnant this month. This will all change in a week though, because I start to obsess and pee on IC's every other time I use the loo.

Of course I will lie to myself this month and say I will definnately not do that this month, but I'd be lying. 😂

How is everybody else doing?

@dizzy85

I just had a laugh to myself reading that you tested 6dpo-THIS IS ME.

My best friend started at 5dpo and didn't get her BFP until 2 post AF due date, why do we torture ourselves?

Side note- when this very agonised over baby does put an appearence in, i really feel i deserve to have a sleeping through the night baby at 3 weeks old 😅

Hiya, AF is due 15th for me too so thought would join 😊 TTC baby#1. This month have been taking folic acid and using preseed. No OPKs or temping yet.
Trying to stay relaxed about it so wasnt sure whether to log back into mumsnet but here i am!
Will try my hardest not to symptom spot. I will also try and not test early- although just got a delivery of 30 online cheapies 😳.
Fingers crossed for BFP's for us all!

@lottie360 To be honest I did take a test yesterday at 5dpo 🙈 and it was a random afternoon urine not even fmu so today I had one more cheap test left and thought ya never know..even though I obviously knew, it's like ttc takes any logic out of your brain and twists it into a whole new level of crazy!

I'm with you on the temping, I keep looking it up and checking out thermometers to buy but thought I'd wait one more month if this isn't it.

Hi,

I'm on cycle 3, trying for 1st baby and due on 11th April.
Finding it harder emotionally than I thought it would be! Trying not to overthink it.
Still not sure of all these acronyms!!

@MrsBookworm
Hi, we have the same af due date 11th! It definitely is emotionally draining, luckily my other half is pretty chilled and just says it will happen when it happens which is nice but it doesn't stop me worrying in my head, I thought it would be a lot easier than this.
I'm gonna try and chill out..or that's what I'm telling myself 😄
How many days past ovulation are you?x

I'm due around the 12th. Cycle 4 ttc no. 2.

Fingers crossed for us all.

@dizzy85 well I've only been using an app to track it but my cycle is quite regular so I think it was on the 28th. Mine is the same...really chilled and keeps telling me I'm getting too stressed about it but then his face looks crushed whenever I've come on!

What does af stand for?? Lol

Report
dizzy85 · 02/04/2019 22:17

@MrsBookworm af is Aunt Flo, yer I know what you mean, I think men are definitely better at hiding it, although my other half says he thinks about it he just doesn't talk about it as much which makes me feel like the crazy one 😄 my ovulation day was 27th, I use an app too but this month decided to try the ovulation strips aswell.

I had a proper temp jump this morning so I think I'm 1dpo today. The last couple of cycles my luteal phase has only been 10 days so the 13th is do or die.... I know from reading that isn't really ideal but I think people still manage to conceive. I'm taking extra B vitamins this month so even if I don't manage to conceive, if I add an extra day to my cycle this end then I'll be pleased!

I've told myself the easiest I will test is 9dpo although we'll see... I'm going into town later and will definitely find myself buying first responses to waste! 😅

Mind if I join you all? 1DPO and AF was due 12th but I've ovulated 3 days later so hopefully will be 15th. Which is good because I'm away with friends and their babies next weekend and I don't want to start AF or find out I'm pregnant then!
Managed to hold out until 11DPO last cycle and will do the same this cycle

Hello all! Mind if I join to? I'm cycle 15, 3dpo and due circa 13th. Best of luck to all!! I'm determined not to test early this month - please help! I've been temping, and I don't think I ovulated this month but you never know.

We've just found out the OH has sperm motility and morphology issues - though sperm count is super high! So whilst disappointed, I feel more positive in a way as we know why we're struggling. I'm considering trying a mooncup post DTD next month! Anyone have experience with this?

Report
Mamabear12 · 03/04/2019 12:04

Does your dp take vitamins to help improve the sperm? I read this could help; but takes 3 months. There is also the reducing caffeine and alcohol.

Hello everyone, hope your all good! It's so nice to see other people joining in, I was hesitant about signing up to mumsnet but glad I did now as it makes you realise your not the only one going through all this, especially if you've not told anyone your trying and have to keep it all to yourself.
Fingers crossed for us all!
I'm 7dpo today and trying my best not too look for symptoms 😄

@MotherOfShihTzus hello sorry to hear about your OH sperm issues, I've not tried a mooncup before do you just put it in after and leave it there a while? The vitamins might be good too.

Is anyone else taking regular vitamins? I found out a month ago I have anaemia so doctor put me on iron not sure if this could have been affecting anything and I've started a B complex around the same time.

MotherOfShihTzus · 03/04/2019 12:41

@Mamabear12 yes, he's been taking wellman but only for 2 months so far - maybe less time when the sample was taken. I've just ordered high dues vitamin c and selenium for him as added extras. Hoping this will work before treatment is required! He's been really down since finding out Monday - I hope this doesn't make the DTD tough for him - we've not done it since :(

@dizzy85 yes I'm talking pregnacsre but nothing additional - yet!! I hear B vitamins are good.

Yes I think you insert the mooncup post DTD, and leave in no more than 12 hours. I'm hoping this will keep more in.

I've not had a temp rise this month (it's normally pretty significant) so don't think I've even ovulated. The whole process is utterly frustrating!!

@MotherOfShihTzus I can feel your frustration 15 cycles must be hard! This is my 4th this time, we did try the beginning of last year for 4 months but had a long break from trying it definitely is hard. I've not tried temping yet, fingers crossed that you did ovulate. Yer the moon cup might be a good idea..I've even tried the whole laying upside legs in the air thing 😆 positive thoughts 🌻
