Why am I still cranky?

Two weeks ago today I had a BFP which turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. I'm now still very cranky and pre-menstrual even though AF arrived a week ago. My boyfriend wants to tie me to the washing line in the garden until I stop being so cranky, but I'm not so sure this is a good idea. For instance, how do I get access to food and wine?

Does anyone know why I'm still feeling this way?

have you come to terms with the fact you've had a chemical pregnancy? I think it may have just been more of a shock to the system than you realise! tell your boyfriend that he will be the one tied to the washing line, while you have full access to the fridge (which is full of wine) and the sofa!! be kind to yourself!!

She's in a LOT of pain too. Is this normal? I'm worried.

There is no harm in popping along to the doctors. I am no expert but when does an ectopic pregnancy start?

Hi Kick.
Not really any different. I wish I could report differently. Pain got so acute that I ended up in the emergency room yesterday afternoon. I have super strength painkillers, and was advised to do another pregnancy test, just in case. I've been told to return if there is no change by Monday.. Thanks for asking

How are you?

I don't mean to scare you or anything but have they done a scan? Is there no way it was ectopic?

They didn't do a scan. We can go to another ER if it doesn't improve. The nurse thought the pain was from my body ovulating. Sad

I would go in and make them think you are a bit more erm...panicky. If you don't feel better, then go in and say you were pregnant, you had an MC and you are still very sore. You seem to be quite together so perhaps you aren't being "girly" enough about the symptoms.

I really don't know enough about the symptoms but I had a chemical pregnancy in December. I was 2 weeks late, came on on Xmas day and was so sore that I was basically numb from my hips down. My DH took me to the A&E and they said nothing could be done (fair enough) but we wanted to make sure that everything was ok.

The pain lasted for two days (maximum), my AF stuck around for a bit longer than normal and I bled for a bit longer than normal but my next cycle was bang on from a time perspective and I had no further issues. As I said, the pain was more intense than my normal AF but it didn't last longer than my normal AF pain would have lasted

I know each body is unique and different, I just don't remember it being that way at all in my experience. You know your body so don't let anyone brush you off if you're 100% sure that you think something is wrong.

Don't let them brush you off.

You know your body.

I went into Boots with thrush and a bladder infection (with my mother - who is cantankerous as hell) and they said they wouldn't give me anything. My mother KNOWS me so she knew I woudln't complain about nothing and she went back and crapped on them until they gave me something.

I landed up needed two lots of antibiotics for 15 days to get rid of all that (recent diabetes diagnosis and catheter damage just played havoc)

Point is: you know your body. Don't let them brush you off.

Good luck, mate
