Referral to Infertility Clinic - What to Expect?

Hiya all just looking for a bit of advice.

A wee bit of background -
My DH and I have been TTC DC#2 since March, however I have not had a real period since March. I have had 2 withdrawal bleeds after being put on Noritstherone (SP) to try and 'kick start' my cycle and also the most recent time I was prescribed it was to enable me to start Clomid. I have been under the care of Gynae since September and was tested for PCOS and I have been told I dont have PCOS and my thyroid levels are normal (even after a sub total thyroidectomy last year) and I am now no longer under his care since 10th January. On 10th January he prescribed me clomid 50mg as I took this before conceiving my DD (did on 3rd cycle) so he told me he could refer me to the infertility clinic but as I conceived before on this he said it should work again and the wouldnt recommend going to the infertility clinic if i was ok with that. So basically I have been left to my own devices with clomid as long as I get my bloods taken on day 21.

At first I was ok with this but now I'm not sure as I have been told I can only have another 3 courses of clomid and if it doesnt work I wont be offered any other assisted conception on NHS as I have a DD. I called the gynae secretary who advised she will pull my file and ask the gynae to review it and refer to the Infertility clinic. I'm wondering if anyone knows what will be discussed at the clinic and what I can expect? Do you think they will give me an ultrasound to monitor if the Clomid is actually working?

Sorry for such a long winded post I'm just getting more concerned.
