I am too old to have read anything by Jacqueline Wilson when I was growing up, but recently enjoyed reading Katy and also like the Longest Whale Song.

My DD's favourites were always Tracy Beaker. The children in the school library where I work seem to like the Hetty Feather books, and Cookie.

My children are too little for her books just yet. I was 9 when she brought out her first book but I don't remember reading any of them as a child but I did watch some of the Tracy Beaker series on TV.

I'm another one who's too old to have read them as a child but d, aged 10, loves them. She's been reading them for 2 years and enjoys them all. Although she gets most of them from the library, she enjoys a trip to the book shop for a new book. She really enjoyed Katie but took it on holiday to read and left it behind 🙁. Apparently all daddy's fault because he made her get in the shower!

I think I'm too old to have read any of her books when I was young! I did love What Katy Did though.

My DD hasn't read any of these yet, but is a huge bookworm so will be next on our list!

I'm too old to have read them whilst young. But I hold Jacqueline Wilson responsible for turning my DD into a book worm. There is nothing that makes me happier than than seeing her curled up with a book lost in a world of her own. Her favourite is The Butterfly Club and she borrows it repeatedly from the library to re read. The story obviously infected her as she talks lots about the feeling of the characters and how she would have reacted in similar circumstances.

I didn't read any Jacqueline Wilson growing up but my girls are both big fans. My eldest has reread Hetty Feather several times and my youngest likes a lot of her books

My daughter is obsessed by Jacqueline Wilson and her favourites have to be the Hetty Feather series. She is desperately hoping that number 6 is due out soon!

i didnt really read Jacqueline Wilson as im abit too old but my daughter has always loved her. Her favourite is the Hetty Feather series which was great for me as i love History so it was a pleasure exploring that period and the Foundlings with her.

Never read any Jaqueline Wilson myself but my daughter loves Tracy Beaker. She's definitely her favourite author

My daughter absolutely loves the Butterfly Club - to the point where she has almost memorised it - and Sleepovers (the latter was oddly banned by her teacher, who has clearly not heard that banning books makes them more desirable). She's reading The Lottie Project now and has read lots of other JW books, as have I now as she asks me to read them too to discuss them.

The teacher's dislike for JW aside, I have to say that her books have not only captivated my daughter and made reading not just a pleasure but a basic need for her - so she can't stop reading - but have also helped us to talk through some tricky friendship issues. JW understands children, and knows how to communicate with them.

I loved the Tracy Beaker series - they were always fun to read and encouraged me to read all the time

Just realised I'm meant to give my favourite too - I never read any when I was younger but read them with my daughter out loud at bed time. My favourite so far would be the one called 'Secrets' (I think?) with the two girls who write diaries like Anne Frank. One is called Treasure. She reminded me of a younger me.

I was another one who missed the phase but my DD, 6, has started her series "Naughtiest girl in school" and really enjoying it.

I loved all of them, The story of Tracy beaker was my favourite, it's currently my eldest daughters favourite too
