AIBU?

Has anyone ever actually witnessed/been part of an Apprentice task?

I have always wondered this. Anyone ever been offered crap street food? Seen them running around shops looking for obscure items?

Yes in the Irish one, I was in the bank where they had a task going on

No, but I’m amazed that the “artisan, small batch houmous” stall at my local market recently wasn’t an apprentice task.

I had a client a few yrs ago who got quite far. I was always too shy to ask her to dish the dirt. They have continued with the buzz they wanted to partner with suralan and it seems to be doing well.

I think there was someone on here who was one of the department store buyers on a task once.

No, but it would be amazing to be the shop keeper on a task where they’re haggling over £2. I’ve always dreamt of being the shopkeeper who has one of the final things they need for the scavenger hunt type task, having them all frantically haggling and trying to shake my hand to save a couple of pointless quid, and tell them to fuck off and lock up my shop. 😂

I've always wondered this! It's been on for so long that people MUST have been on the receiving end of their dodgy sales techniques!

Derbee Grin

I’d love to go on one of their tours.

The loosest link ever but I rented them a serviced apartment for the very first series - I think they made kitchen gadget adverts in there.

That’s a good claim to fame!

The Apprentice needs to be scrapped or rebooted as serious buissness competition. The endless shower of back stabbing fluorescent orange skinned shiny suited gloss lipsticked celebrity seeking shit heads doing the same street sale tasks is just boring now. The baby faced twat on the current show who wears his coat over his shoulders like some pound shop Godfather or Bugsey Malone extra needs to fall under a bus as well. The obnoxious cunt.

No, but it's something I always look out for if I am in a likely sort of place.

I always get distracted by how uncomfortable all the women's clothes look, with their skin tight skirts and high heels. It's been years since anyone wore anything a bit different - remember that woman who wore little berets all the time?

I always wonder if the companies etc who say they I will buy 100 units of whatevr dodgy crap they are being offered, have to actually pay up, - I mean what is the point for them of buying something, which if it is any good they won;t be able to get any more of, or if it is crap they'll have to throw in the bin ? (as in last week's ice lollies - £4 for a pink penis mini milk anyone ?)
Do they do it in a sort of 'hypothetically would you buy this if it was less shit?' way and get reimbursed/get an appearance fee?

They were outside my office doing a task once - not very good at the sales, but Nick the previous monitoring chap was really really nice!

I was just surprised to see Michael Macintyre’s lovechild on it this year. I think I love him he’s hilarious. “You are a u-turn”

Yes! It was a few seasons ago and they were trying to sell food to football fans outside the ground. Only trouble is you are not allowed to take food in with you!
