To call my children names that rhyme?

Is it really that bad? For clarity - we don't want them to rhyme - it's just the name we like for our soon to be born daughter rhymes with that of our son.

I know it's annoying when people are cryptic on these threads so my son's name is Theo and we want to call our little girl Cleo. they have a Greek dad hence the names that work in Greek and English - and also we want short names as their surnames are very long! We don't do middle names.

So is it really awful - or should I not care what people might think and just call them what we want? Will it set us all up for a lifetime of confusion?!

If it is really that bad - any other name suggestions? I'm running out of ideas!

I did this by accident (small age gap extreme sleep deprivation). Nobody seems to notice. If they do they are too polite to say anything.

I wouldn’t- would be hesistant if both just ended in o but would probably say to go ahead but both of them ending in -eo is just too much and sounds almost comical

I think you would get funny comments. In one of Bill Bryson's books he mentions an invented family with children called Ronnie, Lonnie, Connie, Donnie, Bonnie, Johnnie and Tammy-Wynette.

Melissa works well in English and Greek. Sounds nice alongside Theo

My DCs have a rhyming vowel in their names that we didn't notice until after the second name was registered.

I personally wouldn't. Practice saying it out loud 'I'm cow creamer and this is theo and cleo'. There are also websites where you put in a name and it gives you similar suggestions eg Clara, cara, ciera, coco etc

This is a good point to consider - I don't care if people think I'm a bit batty but don't want to embarrass them (well obviously I will want to at times - but at my discretion!)
