Hi all just had a buyer leave negative feedback because the jeans I sold her didn't fit her despite me clearly labelling the size!! Bonkers!! Has any one else had any interesting eBay/ online seller stories!! This is genuinely for my own interest/ amusement!!

My friend was selling a pair of slightly fuck me boots (snog me boots maybe). Man emailed asking for pictures of her feet.

I bought a hoodie and when it came I found a bone-shaped dog biscuit on the front pocket.

Clearly it had been through the wash and was stuck to the top like glue.

Seller said I must have put it there. I messaged her about 15 minutes after receiving it and I didn't even have a bloody dog then!!

I sold a double buggy and the buyer messaged me to say that it didn't fit through her door, her mother's or her neighbours. The measurements were on the listing, so I'm not sure what she expected me to do.

I sold an item of clothing recently for £1.50, it was brand new and never worn so someone got a real Bargain. Within minutes of selling the buyer sent me 5 emails asking when I was posting it, when exactly (time and date) she could expect to receive it, then why had I not responded yet to said emails? (Within 30 seconds of sending them). Some people are actually unbelievable on eBay, they buy things that would cost them more in a jumble sale and yet pick over every single bloody detail. It's that kind of shit that has made me stop selling anything on eBay now.

I sold a tin (collectable, used to hold chocolates) for about £20. The buyer paid immediately, and I went to print the address label. It was the buyers work address, at the end of my street, in South London, about 100m away. I packed it up as quick as I could. I went to the reception in said office block and said 'courier delivery for x' Feedback was brilliant - Delivery at the speed of light within 16 minutes of the auction end!

I bought a collectable miniature TIFFANY'S photo for a friend's birthday. I wasn't trying to pass it off as new so didn't need a box or bag but upon arrival, it was clearly a fake with wonky markings etc. I contacted the seller as said it was a fake. They denied it (I say they as it was a couple emailing me separately) saying it was a wedding present from a millionaire. I said that who they got it from and how much he was worth was irrelevant as it was a bad fake. They then went on to say how I had no morals questioning this millionaire. I replied that unless they refunded me I would bad feedback and report them for selling fakes. They refunded the money but she sent a further email saying I was a 'saddo' for buying from eBay and her and her family had more money than I could ever imagine. It was bloody hilarious. They were nuts.

I once bought some hand cream on eBay (a stocking filler for my mother). What I received was two metal chains ending in coils of tightly wound rope studded with nails, like some kind of S&M elephant tampon. Turns out they were for performing fire twirling stunts! It was worth the inconvenience of getting them swapped for the good laugh we had, imagining my poor mum opening that on Christmas day.

I sold my bridesmaids dresses and a woman bought them for £75 each, which I was happy with.

She then relisted them the next day for £100 each, using MY wedding photos (I'd chopped heads off the pics).

I messaged her and politely asked her not to use my photos, that I was happy with the price I got but she was being cheeky using my photos.

She messaged me back, told me to F off, and called me a sad bitch with no life!

I reported her for being abusive and her listing was removed.

I was selling a pair of kids Gap trousers. A French woman messaged me telling me I must sell them to her for 3 pounds and no more. I thought there was maybe something lost in translation so I replied in French that no I wouldn't sell them at that price but she could bid like everybody else. She was proper bonkers and replied that I must sell to her as they don't have Gap in France!!!

An elder relative of mine once sent me some earrings from a 'nice' brand, forgetting I don't have pierced ears.

When I sold them on eBay, the purchaser sent me a complaint on receiving them that they 'were not a pair' as they were identical opposed to being mirror images.

I pointed out that had been sold by the major brand as a pair, their advertising clearly showed a model wearing them as a pair, and in any case I had taken loads of pictures so they knew exactly what they were getting!

They grumbling accepted the sale but insisted they 'couldnt be worn together'.

I've got a P90X set of DVDs I cannot sell. Every time I resist them on eBay it gets taken down for being fake. It is not fake. I have no clue if there are some magic words I can include to get it accepted on there!

I generally find anything listed free or cheap on FB means people don't come to collect. Irritating!

I sold a dress near Christmas, and was really pestered to post it quickly - three emails in as many hours (I hadn't replied because I was at work).

A week later she asked if she could return it as she hadn't received it in time fora party. I reluctantly agreed (wouldn't now), and waited for her to return it, bearing in mind it was like new. It arrived with loose beading, stinking of sweat, perfume and cigarettes, and with huge grass and mud stains down the back. I didn't give her a refund...

I sold some sewing patterns for a Little Bo Peep costume, a wetsuit, an adult sized onesie and a couple of other things. Out of curiosity I looked at the customer's website (they paid using their business paypal account).
turns out they ran an adult nursery. In my innocence I thought this was a place to leave your husband while you went shopping. I really, really wasn't. There were pictures. Pictures which I may never be able to erase from my brain!

fruitatthebottom This very thing happened to me recently and has put me off! Sold a lovely bag for £1 bloody 50p...got no end of hassle immediately from buyer even getting funny that I wasn't replying quick enough to her annoying emails..( so I deliberately kept her hanging on then.) Nightmare!
