To think this behaviour is unacceptable?

I'm an ordinary person, who likes most things, but AIBU to think that smooth peanut butter is just wrong and the people who eat it surely come from a different planet, even to men? I think they must definitely come from Uranus. It is just unacceptable behaviour from a "so say" (using fingers to emphasise the " ") human being to like such a thing. What are your thoughts?

I agree! Smooth peanut butter is wrong in so many ways. Give me nutty crunchy proper peanut butter every time m

YANBU!

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo Fri 05-Aug-16 14:01:06

I can't eat whole nuts so it's the only type I can eat smile

Vipermisnomer Fri 05-Aug-16 14:03:41

YADNBU it is wrong, and whilst we are on the subject so is Marmite, really what is the thinking behind such nonsense...

All peanut butter is wrong. It is vvu to spoil otherwise delicious food by adding something so rank.

switswoo81 Fri 05-Aug-16 14:04:56

I do agree but I use it because it's easier to spread so I use way less... Love the big crunchy stuff though!

Vipermisnomer Fri 05-Aug-16 14:05:11

But what do you put on your peanut butter and jam sandwich then Lurked?

AnUtterIdiot Fri 05-Aug-16 14:05:40

It's necessary for peanut butter brownies but otherwise crunchy all the way

littlemissneela Fri 05-Aug-16 14:12:47

YABU - I love the stuff! Esp on toast with sliced banana on top for brekkie smile

Peanut butter spread on apple chunks is lovely. Marmite is food for the gods. Had to have it spread on toast with a clove of garlic when I was pregnant, couldn't get enough of it.

Peanut butter is revolting.

My kids eat it out of the jar. Boak.

JassyRadlett Fri 05-Aug-16 14:23:50

YABU. Crunchy peanut butter speaks to a job half done, or terminal indecisiveness.

SpecialAgentFreyPie Fri 05-Aug-16 14:24:29

YANBU.

We keep two in the cupboard as 'D'H likes smooth thank god he's pretty

GasLightShining Fri 05-Aug-16 14:25:44

It is disgusting but DD eats the smooth

WizardOfToss Fri 05-Aug-16 14:26:12

Smooth only in this house only the dog eats it

Grumpyoldblonde Fri 05-Aug-16 14:30:34

I still remember my first peanut butter sandwich, it was at a birthday party and it must be 38 years ago, that's how good it was. I remember it was smooth pb and I loved it, but then, then I only went and tried crunchy pb, and oh my life, that was it, a life long love affair. A crunchy pb sandwich washed down with a cold diet coke would be my last meal I think (or maybe bread and cheese with a cold beer) hard to say for sure.
Did you know you can get peanut butter M & M's? Just imagine such a thing.

scampimom Fri 05-Aug-16 14:32:05

YADNBU. People who like smooth peanut butter are probably the lizard people. Or deviants. Or estate agents.

EssentialHummus Fri 05-Aug-16 14:41:52

Did you know you can get peanut butter M & M's?

They are available on Amazon along with Birthday Cake flavour (!) M&Ms. You can thank me later grin

EatsShitAndLeaves Fri 05-Aug-16 14:42:54

peanut butter should be crunchy, that's true. but my current jar of whole earth crunchy no palm oil peanut butter is too crunchy. If I'd wanted a packet of chopped peanuts I'd have bought them. sad
