Your partner is right.

Do you have a bikini? Yes? Does it fit you? Yes? Then no, you're not too fat to wear a bikini.

Enjoy your holiday Grin

Well how would you feel if people are staring and talking about you?

If it's water off a ducks back do it.... If you are conscious and anxious, then I'd say don't put yourself through it

Or wear it but stick something over it

It's up to you..... M

No one is too big or too small to wear any clothes in their size.

Have a great holiday.

When I see quite fat people wearing bikinis I just think how much body there is to sun cream up!

Wear what you feel happy in.

It's all about body confidence and how comfortable you feel. I weigh 10 stones and am a size 10 and there's no way I'd wear a bikini as I'm not toned and would feel self-conscious. If you feel good, go for it! Especially if it makes you and your partner happy!

I'm with your partner on this.
Although I suppose it all boils down to whether you're comfortable or not in a bikini.
Screw what everyone else thinks. If you think you look awesome, then everyone else is more likely to as well.
Not so complimentary glances, if any?! Shake them off. You don't know them, they don't know you, they're gone five seconds later.

You can find great, flattering bikinis in all sizes, so go for it! I think 40's style cuts, for example, look great.

If you would feel comfortable in a bikini get one. If not, don't wear one. A bikini body is just a body with a bikini on it Grin

Style and fit are everything. I'm a size 10 but some styles look awful and some look good. Too small, too brief, too tight or too cheap (as in fabric quality ) are all a bad idea.

On holiday in June I was a size 12 and didn't have the confidence to wear a bikini.
I didn't tell dp, he would have told me to have a word with myself and get over it.
On the beach on the Costa del Sol, I say back and watched over the top of my book as women of literally every single shape and size wandered off to the seafront in an wide range of swim attire.
I sat feeling a bit disgruntled in various swim dresses that I hadn't thought 'fuck it' because in all honesty, no one gives a shit besides us ourselves, as individuals.
Yes, I was looking, yes, I was watching, but only in envy.
Women twice my size were strutting their way off to the water seemingly without a care in the world.
What's the worst that can happen? Really? That someone might think to themselves "blimey, she's a bit wobbly?" - they won't be saying it out loud, and in fact, if anything? They'll be like me thinking "I wish if worn that!"
Men and women the whole beach long were wearing what was comfortable in the heat. No one cares.
I'm going on a hot holiday in September and I (now a size bigger as I've been a greedy cow since coming home and realistically won't lose a single pound) have bought 3 bikinis as I'm determined to have some self confidence.
Do it. I'd bet my house on it that no one else gives a shit.
Because they really don't.

Do the make bikinis in your size? If so, then no you're not too fat. Even if they don't, ho with your DP and just do it and fuck what anyone thinks.

go with your DP

Who cares? Yes, people will look, that is a fact.

But if you feel comfortable, no-one glancing in your direction will matter.

We saw the hugest woman strutting along the beach today in a bikini - it really made me smile as her confidence shone through.

I was in a pool yesterday when a lady who I would guess was around a size 24-26 sauntered in wearing a gorgeous red bikini and joined in splashing about in the water having a tremendous time with a mixed group of friends.

Not an eye lid was batted. She looked fab.

Ooh Pitiless I'm in two minds about those!
I think on the one hand i'd feel safer in that - 3 DC and have a very stretch marked belly. On the other hand, I'd feel as though I looked like I was trying not to draw attention to my horrible tummy, therefore drawing attention to it Grin
I really can't win, have just gone with normal bikinis and am thinking 'fuck it'!

Cake-don't you think the high-waisted bikinis might stay put better, though? That might be another reason to wear them.

Although there is no need to cover your stretch marks, I think it's great that you let them show!
