Calling someone a 4x4 is as bad as racism

Cbb related Blush but I really don't see why this is acceptable at all. Should be classified as bad as many other 'isms' that have a zero tolerance in society.

It's rude but you cannot compare it to racism, that is ridiculous.

What's a 4 by 4?

Report
WorraLiberty · 13/09/2015 13:11

Sorry, can you explain what it means?

Unless of course you're talking about a vehicle, but even then it doesn't make sense.

It's a horrible thing to say but not as bad as racism

I'm sorry but I have absolutely no idea what that means. Could you clarify?

4x4 - a woman who has 4 children by 4 dads. It was used to describe Natasha on CBB.

I don't know what 4x4 or 'cbb related' means. I'm so lost.

It's rude & ignorant but the person using the term is judging life choices which I don't think is comparable to judging someone because of their race/gender/age/sexual orientation etc as they are not choices

Oh! You live and learn.

Why is that like an 'ism'?

LooksLikeImStuckHere · 13/09/2015 13:14

Not as bad as racism but unkind and unnecessary.

I don't get it. I watch cbb so have missed something. What happened?

Rufusgy · 13/09/2015 13:15

Well I find is incredibly horrible and nasty term. Think how her children must feel. Sure its a modern term and not as loaded as others but I still find it deeply offensive!

I have just looked up the urban dictionary, and aside from the kind of vehicle, it may be used to insult s short fat woman, or a woman with multiple children school having a different father.

I believe misogyny is as bad as racism, so I believe YANBU.

Sorry just caught up. Yep have heard this applied to ulrika jonsson in the past. It's disgusting and rude. Men never seem to attract such derogatory terms do they? Wouldn't compare it to racism though. Just another term for one woman to bring another woman down. Says more about the person saying it imho.

I think all of those examples, or similar, have been faced by women, as a class, Scobber.
