AIBU?

Public nipple licking on holiday?

I'm on my hols at a naice AI family resort. I've got a bloody stream of AIBUs to post but I'll try and confine myself to one a day.

So basically this hotel has some private swim up rooms. They are dotted around but a lot face the main thoroughfare, so you are just feet away from a lone couple sunbathing and swimming in their private pool.

DH and I were promenading earlier with DS who is three. Couple about four feet away from us in their private bit. We are all very close. She is topless. He exits their room, gets on the sunbed next to her, leans over and pinches one of her nipples and sucks the other one!!

Now I'm not a prude, I don't think, but WTF!!!! DH shouted "oy mate, we've got a kid here!" And they gave us weak smiles and by then we had walked past.... Is doing stuff like that literally a few feet from a three year old OK? I don't think DH should have said anything really but I was shocked. DH is a total prude so he was probably having an internal crisis. AIBU to think keep your nipple licking to yourself?

Oh dear.

I know AI makes sense for a family, but you do hear such tales....

"He exits their room, gets on the sunbed next to her, leans over and pinches one of her nipples and sucks the other one!!"

You walked past very slowly while staring then..

I don't really understand the positioning of the pools from your description, but if they are private then yes they are allowed to do as they wish as they've paid for it!

If you knew it was private, I'm intrigued as to why you were staring for so long to see all of that happening, especially if your DH is such a 'prude'.

Haha, that's crazy! Why would you do that?

No, I don't think you are being unreasonable. No issue with her sunbathing topless, or them having a smooch, but licking a nipple? Too far!

Not really SpringBreaker Is it a long time since you've been for a walk with a 3yo? That's what I remember most about the pre-school years, after the pushchair. It took an age to get anywhere.

YANBU - but this is hilarious. What's next on the AIBU list please?

That's grim. I think a three-year-old would be less traumatised than middle aged me.

Do give us daily updates of the horror though Grin

Your DH did the right thing.

Erm, maybe they should be a bit more controlled but your son is 3! He wouldn't have known anything if your DP hadn't shouted Grin

Not sure I understand - are the private pools within their hotel suite space? Or are try within the public area?

If the former, I'd be pretty pissed off to be enjoying some time to ourselves and some perve walks past slowly enough to describe in exact detail what I was doing

Of course, if it's in public then it's gross. But you already know that, so an AIBU is definitely not necessary.

Haha, just for the comedy factor, I would quite like to have seen this to have a little giggle over. Break up the ever lasting walk with a 3yo!

Maybe they are still pre-kids where they still do the sexy things! Not jealous at all Wink

They obviously didn't see the young family gawping know they were being watched. They'll be more embarrassed than you were.

They're private as in the plebs cannot use them, but visually they are very public. And the view angle is quite wide, so you can sort of see them for ages as you approach and pass. And DS was enthralled... "Mummy I can see that woman's BOOBIES! Is that big man having milk mummy, mummy, mummy, mummy is that man having milk mummy mummy mummy is that man HAVING SOME MILK mummy, mummy, he is HAVING SOME MILK FOR BABIES mummy mummy mummy mummy" etc for a good hour afterwards.

YANBU that's just plain nasty. Even if it was a private area, if they could be seen by others then I don't think it's fair. I'm a prude though. I also want to know what's next on the list...Grin

That must have been embarrassing to watch but I also feel for the couple who thought they were booking a private swim up room only to arrive and find their room was anything but private.

Are you at a FC Holiday Village?

If so, YANBU about any of your AIBUs.

I can predict what most of the other ones are.

I've always wondered if people shagged in those private pool room things. It put me off booking one a little bit we are going to pontins instead

I want to know what else is on the aibu list though. It sounds intriguing!

Ew.

You'd think private swim up rooms would be, y'know, private: as in not overlooked. I can't quite figure out how it all works from your OP, but it sounds like they're VERY PUBLIC INDEED. In which case nipple sucking is pretty uncool Grin

Is this a well know company's Red Sea resort?

We've had a swim up room before. The pool was shared with 3-4 other rooms from memory but the patio area was set back and secluded if you didn't swim directly in front.

Anyway, as the whole idea of a swim up room is to afford a little more private area, it's the resort you should have the gripe with. There should be better screening if the swim up room is on a footpath route.

The last AI we went to people were pooping in the large flower pots in the open air lobby in the middle of the day and that wasn't the worst occurrence. Twas horrid. There weren't enough pearls for me to clutch, it made me realise how naive I was!
