What's been your weirdest purchase lately?

As the title suggests... let's hear about your random midnight online purchases. I think my most unnecessary (perhaps not weird) purchase has been one of those pancake batter dispensers, simply because I was fed up of what a mess we made on the ONE Sunday in forever that we made pancakes.

I bought this mop after an “influencer” on Instagram recommended it Hmm
It may well be my favourite purchase of lockdown, I love it!

I decided that I needed a rice cooker. I usually buy microwave rice because its quick and easy.

Time will tell if I ever use the thing

This seal pillow for DS, who loves seals. It looks absolutely nothing like the picture - in fact, ours looks as if it has a severe migraine - but he loves it nonetheless. He's made it its own Instagram account Confused

I think the only purchase we have made, other than food and drink, is a pair of lawn spike shoes. You strap these spiked plastic sandals on over your boots and walk about your lawn in them. It aerates the soil, helps the grass grow better. We got our teenage son to do the walking (it's quite hard work on heavy clay soil) and are now watering the lawn every evening and looking for improvements.

Other than that we have bought nothing at all but today I must order a new bra as the underwiring in one of mine has gone kaputt.

I’m doing up an old dolls house very slowly, so my most recent purchases were some 1/12 scale wooden wall panels and Teeny tiny test tubes and fossils for my mad scientists laboratory...

@rubaiyatofanyone that sounds almost unbearably cute! Teeny fossils!

I've purchased wine (not usually much of a drinker, so unusual for me).

@GenderApostate19 perhaps you can pop round to @Chicchicchicchiclana and aerate their lawn once and for all?

@spiderlight can you show us a picture of your seal? I think DD would love it but worried it would be not as good as the picture!

I am in an eBay auction for a blanket. DH is going to be mightily unimpressed. But I want the blanket, it is the same as the blankets we had when I was little and cannot seem to buy anywhere now. Nothing posh or special about it, a standard acrylic blanket (NOT cellular) with fake satin edging. I really want it!!

A set of 3 soup ladles that look like the Loch Ness monster when they're in the soup pan. Because obviously the one I had that I was quite happy with before just didn't measure up to one looking like a mystical Scottish beast.
