Keyra decided against it as she felt it was getting a bit outing.

I keep checking too. It was lovely.

Me too. I hope she comes back. She could change some of the details so not to be too outing. I loved that thread, 😍

That's a shame but understandable.

Maybe she'll come back and update with wedding photos 😊

Can she name change and call them plumbers? I miss the lovely story.

I was just looking for the same!! There’s been 6 days of developments and we don’t know any of the details...

I was totally invested in the whole romance unfolding 😂

@Keyra - come back!! Can you just write an ending please? 🥂

Hello :). I've missed you folks.

I'm so rubbish at being sensible. Really should be grown up and not comment, but here I am.

Short story: still fancy cb. Teeth have been predominantly in except Tuesday morning.

Long story: No huge progress although last Friday's gin drinking session has changed the game a bit I think. We're not quite as shy around each other as we were, and now he makes tea for me too. He even starts the occasional conversation.

This afternoon he saw off a strange man who was stood at the end of my drive way holding a spear! Seeing him in protective mode did terrible things to me. Also this afternoon my friend came round and was moved to comment on cb 's lovely eyes (to me, not him). Since she's 10 years younger than me, and several stone lighter, I won't be asking her back in a hurry :).

Elderly electrician (ee) has been here for the last couple of days - for one so small he can't half make a mess. Cg was shouting at him yesterday (only half joking) for not shutting doors and not using dust sheets. Unfortunately, no sooner did cg lay out his dust sheets than the dog weed on them Shock.

Yesterday was quite eventful - ee got stuck with his head and shoulders under the floor boards - cg took a picture before he realised ee wasn't joking and I wish I could post it! Cb rushed to ee's rescue, and ever since I've been thinking of ways I can get my own head and shoulders jammed into a hole. As it were.

The flowers were from cg. Tp is meant to be coming on Monday.

Brilliant update. Any signs of rapprochement with the neighbours?

Report
Keyra · 22/11/2018 22:34

No :(. She left me something on my doorstep at the weekend that I'd bought for her a few weeks back. Makes me sad.

Thanks for the update, I was also wondering how things were going. Sorry to hear things still aren't good with your neighbour.

Hoping for a nice ending for you all round.

Thanks for coming back to update.

Hope the neighbours stuff soon settles down and some sort of reasonable relationship can be found again.

Hope all goes well with neighbours/CG/CB x

Thanks for the update. It's so sad about your neighbours.

Ooh Keyra! This is all very exciting - a spear?! Was it your neighbour?! (Sorry to heat things are so bad btw).

I love EE being messy, and cg fussing about, then the dog!! Really made me chuckle- then getting stuck! Hilarious!

Still think cg the better bet although i do totally "get" the attraction with cb.

Thanks for update! Totally respect your need for a bit of privacy, but you've made me smile on a gloomy lethargic morning, so thanks! Smile

Sorry to hear about neighbours. Returning a present like that is pretty childish.

Thank you all for saying nice things about the neighbour situation. We used to get on so well, I'm really quite shocked.

Cockney window fitter was here yesterday morning, complaining about how hard he works compared to everyone else. Lengthy (and, it must be said, boring) story unfolds, including how many minutes/hours every other workman he has ever encountered nationwide takes for tea/coffee/lunch. All told while .... having a lengthy tea break Shock

Meanwhile, man holding the spear apparently returned, this time without the spear, wanting to know if my house was for sale. Cg told him he didn't think so but would check with the owner. This could be a solution to my neighbour problem - I could sell up to a man who comes complete with a sharp and presumably dangerous implement. They'll appreciate me and my conventional ways then.

About 2pm yesterday cg says "we were drinking gin this time last week". I say "yes, there was still a kitchen and a table in it to drink around then". He says "Let's go to the pub when we've finished here. Cb, you up for the pub?" And Cb says "Yes" Then, to me "Are you coming?". I sort of lost the power of coherent responding and started out on a long string of "oh, I don't know, won't you prefer it to be just the two of you, don't feel obliged to ask me" type of nonsense. And I didn't go Blush

Cg was texting from the pub to say they wished I was there and next week I'd have to come. And he came round this morning to fix my washing machine.

Pennina · 24/11/2018 18:35

Oh gosh it's getting beyond exciting! Ooh you should have gone to the pub. Sounds like cg is very interested - especially texting you! And a burst of enthusiasm from cb too. This is all wonderful! Did cg just fix washing machine and go or did he hang out a bit??

Report
Keyra · 24/11/2018 18:50

Well he didn't actually fix it although he tried very hard. He was here about an hour and a half but then I had to go out. I know - I'm kicking myself about the pub, I'm so rubbish! Next week I'll have to go to the pub in order to get up the nerve to go to the pub!

So exciting, Keyra. And thanks for coming back for the follow up.Gin

So, what happened to the architect's cock up?

And you're really, really still fixated preferring The Tooth Teaser over cg?

CB and CG will end up fighting for you. Shirtless wresting. In the mud.

Report
Keyra · 24/11/2018 23:12

Hi Aviator, the architect has said he will cover any additional expenses that arise due to his mistake. Cg is feeling guilty because the architect is one he often uses. I'm trying to look on the bright side - surely mistakes mean the builders will have to be here for longer :)

lazymare if there is to be shirtless mud wrestling I will invite all my mn friends :). Not my rl 10 yrs younger/several stone lighter friend though ...
