DH says it's weird but I'm really enjoying my greggs custard slice while soaking in my hot bubble bath grin

isseywithcats Mon 05-Nov-18 19:55:00

Couldnt here cos we only have a wet room style shower no bath think me custard would get a bit wet

Greensleeves Mon 05-Nov-18 19:55:29

No, I still have an irrational superstition about getting the bends if I ingest anything within 2 hours of going near a bath, as drummed into me by my batshit mother grin

MumGoneCrazy Mon 05-Nov-18 19:57:34

I've never eaten in the shower and will probably pass on trying 😂

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually Mon 05-Nov-18 19:57:36

No, it wouldn't occur to me I don't think. Definitely like a glass of wine in there though.

CMOTDibbler Mon 05-Nov-18 20:02:33

Absolutely. Heaven is me, my kindle, a mug of tea and a bowl of snacks plus a deep, hot bath!

DixieFlatline Mon 05-Nov-18 20:03:47

I've tried to enjoy a cup of tea in the bath before. The difference in temperature between the bathwater and my tea was distracting.

Glass of wine and nuts or crisps when I'm in the bath is my ultimate treat!

Sparklingbrook Mon 05-Nov-18 20:07:19

Glass of wine but no snacks, they would get damp.

bumblebee39 Mon 05-Nov-18 20:12:04

Noooo gross.
A glass or mug of something maybe but food?
Yuck 🙈

SpoonBlender Mon 05-Nov-18 20:12:32

Ugh, crumbs in the bubbles. No thanks!

BettyOBarley Mon 05-Nov-18 20:14:31

My idea of a perfect relaxing evening....
red hot bath, glass of wine, maltesers and magazine/Mumsnet!

Veterinari Mon 05-Nov-18 20:15:52

How do you stop the snacks getting damp?

Doje Mon 05-Nov-18 20:18:31

I'm definitely going to try it now!

CMOTDibbler Mon 05-Nov-18 20:19:18

I chose our bath primarily for the length and depth, but also for the very wide side which allows both mug and bowl of snacks to sit nicely and so no dampness

Storm4star Mon 05-Nov-18 20:20:46

I have never even considered eating snacks in the bath! MN has opened my mind to so many things grin

Lweji Mon 05-Nov-18 20:21:20

Yes. But crisp like snacks (although not crisps) and chocolate.

They don't get damp. Or last long enough.

My DD used to love beans on toast for tea in the bath when she was small.

<bath was downstairs next to the kitchen and we had a study bath tray that fitted over the top>

firefire Mon 05-Nov-18 20:22:12

Yep. Olives and wine 🍷

MysticFlyTrap Mon 05-Nov-18 20:23:36

Wine yes, food nowine

BentNeckLady Mon 05-Nov-18 20:26:24

Can’t imagine anything worse 🤮

GreenDinosaur Mon 05-Nov-18 20:28:50

I have been known to eat my tea in the bath and stay in it all evening (with regular hot water top ups). I always have snacks and drinks in the bath, it's amazing, I think I was a hippopotamus in a previous life.

hugoagogo Mon 05-Nov-18 20:37:36

No, not even pickled onions.grin

MamaLovesMango Mon 05-Nov-18 20:38:57

Turns my stomach a bit thinking about it if I’m honest....

Chwaraeteg Mon 05-Nov-18 20:39:54

Yes. Junk food bath is one of my fave things.
