DH says it's weird but I'm really enjoying my greggs custard slice while soaking in my hot bubble bath Grin

I think it’s just the joy of doing something so unnecessarily decadent. I think that’s why I enjoy it!

I'll have to remember that one next time he spends too much time playing Xbox Grin

Cup of tea or glass of wine but no food.

Absolutely. Heaven is me, my kindle, a mug of tea and a bowl of snacks plus a deep, hot bath!

Does the steam from the bath not get into and fuck up the kindle over time?

Only chocolate.

Surprised at people saying it's out right 'wrong'. Surely it's just a preference not a right or wrong situation. Not like it's bothering anyone else is it? Unless you have a bath with other people.

God no.

Eating in the bath = eating in the toilet. Think of all the (correct!) MN threads about how grim it is to have to breastfeeding the loo because no one would expect adults to eat in the toilet so baby's shouldn't have to.

Plus don't you end up with crumbs all down your naked tits and all soggy in the bath?Bleugh.

Eating in the bath = eating in the toilet.
Or more like brushing your teeth in the bathroom. Grim indeed. Grin

That's for public toilets.
Baths is where we clean ourselves. If we can get out of the bathroom having cleaned ourselves and out babies, it should be fine to eat too.

Just avoid doing it in the toilet. Wink

I can't have the bath water very hot, so it doesn't stay warm enough for very long. No time to eat, so don't think it would work here.

Glad you enjoy your custard slice when bathing OP, and the rest of you in the bath munchers.

Now I'm going to have to give my kids tea in the bath tonight.

I can't say I've ever tried! But chocolate in the bath sounds great. I wouldn't want to eat anything crumby as crumbs in the bath would freak me out.

Ew no. The same as I can't drink a glass of wine in bed. Just wrong!

No way, because my hands are all covered in bubbles.

And, as I always tell DS when he's trying to bring a half eaten snack to eat on the loo, the bathroom is not for food. We don't eat where we poo.

I don't usually but I did once eat a bag of chips in the bath. My daughter came into the bathroom and said she didn't want them so I said I'd finish them. I was pregnant and rested them on my bump which was way above the water so they didn't get wet Grin.

Ooo I found my people!

I usually polish off a bag of sweets left over from the DC in the bath but I never thought about savouries! I have actually put olives and cheese on my shopping list just for bath snacks on the back of this thread 😂

Although I do draw a line at pastries - what do you do about crumbs? 😬

I once lived somewhere with a bath and no shower. I’d often have my morning coffee in a hot bath. Really sets you up for the day!

I’ve done wine and chocs in the bath which always feels decadent. I only have a shower in my current place though so haven’t had a long soak in months. Sad

Hate baths and couldn't imagine eating in one. Only time I really appreciated a bath was many years ago when I was pregnant.

Report
Nousernameforme · 06/11/2018 16:33

I love a bath and when pregnant would spend hours in one but I couldn't eat in one.
I don't know if it would be the pressure of the water or the temperature or closeness of the loo but i just can't get in a bath and fancy anything. Never smoked in the bath either.

Of course. Peanuts and a glass of something cold. Can't drink hot drinks in the bath, makes me too hot.

Our 'bathroom' only has the bath and a sink in it. Plus a stool aka the snack and ipad tray (so I can watch a film whist eating peanuts). Our toilet is next door, so no toilet stuff happening in the bathroom.

I sometimes eat in the bath after training. I get home sweaty and starving and can't decide which to do first,, so do both Grin

And for the hysterically-concerned - my loo isn't in the bathroom. It's in a whole little room of its own.

Hygienically-concerned. Not hysterically. I swear this kindle hates me Angry
